Beautiful old home. I can see why you love it. About the balcony. When they raise the railing, you could have them screen it all in. That way you can go out without the bugs and you don't have to worry about the kids. I love the size of this place. Basement, attic, it's got it all, plus the wow factor. The floors are gorgeous. I feel like you could paint the back of the bookcase in the living room without harming the esthetic- that would really showcase your glass collection.

A beautiful home-can’t wait to see how you decorate it! Have you considered moving the antique pedestal sink in the upstairs bath to the downstairs half-bath? Best of luck with all the renovations-the house will be even more amazing.

Don’t feed the birds until late fall.
It encourages them to STAY, & not fly South for winter.
You will see birds you’ve never seen in City areas.

I love the tiny little yellow ones, & the Indigo blue bird.

I can't express how over the moon happy I am for you guys. That house is absolutely off the charts. Thank you for taking us along on your journey even though you don't know us we feel like we are part of your family and that is very rare these days with the way the world is. Well, I’ve been gone for awhile and am glad to be back watching. Gosh I’ve missed a lot. The house is beautiful. It fits you. But most importantly….. nursery???? You are having a baby? How wonderful. Congratulations to both you and Andrew, also the kids.

The house, barn and property are just absolutely amazing. I love all the builti n's, the old fashion farm house style. It's truly grand. I like the idea of your shop going into the barn. Saves money. Oh...and that door bell is awesome!!!

Gorgeous charming home! Love all of the woodwork, exposed brick, sunroom, patio, koi pond, large yard and the BARN!!! Put up a bluebird box and a pair will promptly move in! Please be sure they’re not already living in that dead tree before you have it removed. Once you get your rugs and furniture in, it won’t be too much wood. High five on restoring your credit so quickly!! You rock! ❤️🦉
No it is not too much wood! It is absolutely gorgeous and I could see why you fell in love with this Victorian. It is so rare to see the wood NOT PAINTED OVER IN WHITE, I was so happy to hear that you can see the beauty and appreciate the wood work of that master craftsman who owned the house and that you are not going to ruin the beauty of this house from yesteryear . Congratulations on your adorable, interesting and super cool new house! The kids are going to have a blast running up and down the stairs and popping in and out of the various rooms. The sun room is amazing, especially since the yard is so beautiful. Making coffee with your espresso machine and then drinking it in the sun room while you watch the birds is going to be such a nice, relaxing start to the day!🍄🌷🐿

Wonderful home to raise a family. Very spacious, great yard and it is BEAUTIFUL! I love the wood and woodwork done by previous owner. The wood will "tone down" once you get your furniture, curtains and throw rugs down. That living room is going to rock! Blessings have been bestowed upon you. May many more come your way!
I adore your home! I grew up in Upstate NY in a house from the 1800's and just love the character of the old homes. Homes like that aren't as abundant down in NC. Please keep us updated on the changes you make so I can live vicariously through your videos!

You can downplay the large wooden bookcases by lining the back with some peel and stick wall paper. It will add color and can be easily removed. The house is fantastic.

I just love older houses. They have so much character. The stained glass is beautiful. I agree that it is a lot of wood, as beautiful as it is. Not sure what I would do to decorate. Maybe you have to get in there and live with it for a little bit to decide. That barn and the outdoor areas are so nice!
I totally understand the disappointment if losing a house. My husband and I found this really quirky house. It was dome shaped. Not everyone's cup of tea but my husband and I are goofy enough that it screamed our name. Things fell through with that house and then about 6 months later we found the absolute perfect house with the perfect yard and the thoughts of that other house just fell away. I think things fell through with that other house because we were meant to find the one we are in now. I love all the wood work in your home. It won't seem so over whelming once you have furniture, rugs and things up on the wall and on those shelves. Congrats

So many unique features is this beautiful home! I love the door knobs and handles, and especially love the front doors!! Older homes require a lot of work, but can be so rewarding. I've owned many homes; one was 100 years old and one was built 1790. New houses are great, but old houses have character!

I always used to say, “There’s always another house.” Perhaps even harder for me was that we were horse owners. We also said, “There’s always another horse.” But the biggest problem is that both house and horse requires that you love them. You’re spending so darned much money, it only makes sense.
This house fits you to a T though. So it’s true this was meant to be!

I have spent 26 years doing interiors. Your great room only seem to be a lot of wood because it's empty. Once you put down some rugs and fill the bookcases, it'll going to even itself out.
Room colors need to be fairly neutral. Colors can be added with furniture and fabrics. Unless you have a piece of furniture that is going to stear the color choice, it's a lot easier to paint neutral. A purple bedroom sounds fun until you have to find the right color bedspread to go with it. Paint for me was always the last thing I chose in a room.

What a beautiful house, I love all the woodwork, what amazing craftsmanship, the compass is so cool when you walk in. Congratulations, it will be so fun to put all your touches in, I love the brick in the kitchen and the coffee bar! Also the property grounds are so pretty, would love to see the barn some time! Also I laughed when you said you don't like basements, I am with you there, we have an old house and I rarely go in the basement. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful house. I recently painted our kitchen yellow. I found an article on Pinterest, the best yellow paints that don't have yellow in the name. I choose a Benjamin Moore cream. On the wall it is the most beautiful soft yellow. Would be so pretty in a nursery. Thanks for showing us your new home.
Paint is so tricky too. They can be white with green undertones, or white with blue undertones. Just paint different samples & look at them in the morning, day, night, midday etc. it would be pretty to just paint some of the wood built in or just have them sand it down & go with a lighter or darker stain. Like the best thing about the Staircase is the white & dark contrast. Thant looks really nice 👍 the yard is Gorgeous Especially love the brick patio & walkway. It looks soo much better than boring concrete. You know as far as the nursery you could totally take your time and keep her in your room with a bassinet in your room for 6+ months. I’m so excited for you & your family & your sweet little girl coming it’s really exciting. Congratulations 💝 🏡 😁

Beautiful home! Congratulations. Bluebirds are the sweetest birds to watch. They love live mealworms, you can order them online. My mother would ring a bell when she put the worms out and eventually they know to listen for the bell. I live in a busy neighborhood so I can’t keep bluebirds around but your new home is absolutely amazing for birds.
