@cajum24 terrible native speller here. I was lazy, but I do intuitively see "wear" as correct. "Tear" is a drop of moisture from my eye first and foremost by a wide margin! Clearly, reading "tear" as a verb in context has not been a problem for me. But, for my spelling radar, this might be my biggest hole😅! A key point is that my original miss-spelling was clear in the meaning it was trying to convey. There were no spell- check warnings!!!
@robertlevy2420 I'm not a great speller either lol just like I said, been seeing it so much recently. Maybe it's time we start correcting each other lol
@@cajum24 I have done a terrible job memorizing oddly spelled English words! Phonetically, under word constructing rules in American English, "ware" and "tare" make quick, intuitive sense! "Wear" and "tear" rhyme with "fear!"
