I have discovered one thing today, got some Charvel with supposedly Full Shred pickup. It is TB-4 with allen/hex pole pieces. It sounded closer to SD Omega than to SH-6, I told the same to Seymour Support, as I could not understand what kind of pickup I have. They confirmed it is TB-4 indeed, but ordered with different screws. Normally I can't stand SH4 due to highs and bloated low mids, but that one was super aggressive. And I've got info that actually SD Omega has similar/same screws... It seems like there are not many videos covering that topic, so I think you could add such experiment to your channel :P BOOM, endless permutations/possibilities hahaha, and thats easier than magnet swap
I've got both, and I never payed attention to how different they sound. I'm going to have to do my own side by side. Here, it sounds like the JB is more rounded and trebly, while the Dimebucker is more flat and muffled.
Congrats Mike ! You're Rad ! This video explains how different is SD production, JB is an evergreen and maybe for everyone except for me ! I love Pantera's groove Metal and there is just a pickup! SH-13 Dimebucker is really different and people can listen to clean tones ! This pickup was modeled after Bill Lawrence XL-500 , while native Duncan is SH-4 ! ps : JB is Jazz Blues not Jeff Beck as a lot of guys think ! 👑🎸🔥
For clean tone, I much prefer the JB ; more bass and ''round sound''. With distortion, I prefer a little more the Dimebag but both sound almost the same with distortion...
to me DIMEBUCKER SH-13 all the way, solid sound very good high gain with good clarity and mids frequencies in balance, the only one problem with this pickups, could be the high frequencies, but for the res, is ery good pickup
I'm a huge proponent for the JB, but the Dimebucker absolutely annihilated the JB in this comparison! I mostly use JB's in Les Paul's and other vintagey guitars that I mostly use for classic to modern rock though. The Dimebucker is clearly the better choice for metal.

Do you set a specific height for all the pickups and is it the same? If so, how many millimeters do you set them from the strings?
The jb has more mids more of that “ah” sound . The dirty sounds is pretty much the same

Dimbucker SH-13 is best for me for Metal I really love chug chug for high gains.

The dimebucker is brighter. The JB sounds just like it with the tone knob rolled back.

They have differences, but in mix you don't hear it
For my ears both sound awful. Dimebucker is too scooped and compressed and JB is muddy.

JB is a must but need a god guitar.
