    Broadcast the side of the stadium that has fans. Common sense

      Yeah, I was wondering that too. I think its advertising. There are no ads on the fan side.

    York should be ashamed. Missed open nets, missed open passes in front of the net. Unreal how poor that was.

    Poor choices by York, weren’t clinical at all. They’re game to win tbh

    Broadcast the side that has actual fans in the seats. Looks dead this way.

      Huge offseason turnover for both teams, change of ownership for York, change of tacics for Ottawa and and its the 1st game of the year, probably those are the main reasons.
      The other two matches were a bit scuffed too, Iv'e been watching this league since the start, the first few games are usuallu like this a bit, then a couple teams find form and it gets really fun.

      The average salary in the league is like 30-60k btw, some of these guys have side jobs/hustles, its a low level pro league, don't expect europe level quality.

      It's a low budget league and the Canadian talent pool isn't that big where the few decent players play in MLS or abroad. The league is here to give young Canadians a chance to play where before they needed to get scouted elsewhere to have a chance.

    Ottawa is a terrible sports city. How can a city of over half a million not get 20 000 people to a game ? Split Croatia has 200 000 people and gets 30 000 to games and has a high flight basketball team, waterpolo and handball team.

      Only thing filling those seats is a boxing fight between trudeau vs poilievre hahaha

      It's a very young league. The CPL gotta give it time to grow give it the right TV deal and exposure and trust the CPL will boom

    • @cephalopods

      @@DanDaMan_966 Tv has never driven the growth of any soccer leagues in North America. MLS tv ratings were stagnant for 25 years. NWSL has rarely been on a main tv or sports network in it's 10 yrs. CSL folded after a few yrs on TSN. NASL folded even with matches on tv in the 70s when 90% of the population was watching tv for entertainment. Today, paid linear tv is in less than 50% of Cdn homes and main demo is over 55 which isn't going to drive CPL's growth.

    • @DanDaMan_966
      @DanDaMan_966 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @cephalopods agree with 55 tv memo part, but it is still exposure the young demo should have onesoccer app or at least have rogers and bell help out give the exposure im from Ontario rogers and bell is all we got and we are the most populated better marketing and time and mark noonan I was listening to his interview he did say he could expand to cfl football fields and expand the league but it won't be professional I'll give him credot for respecting the sport at this point any exposure to the league to get a broader audience the better it is for the league as long as this league is around I will continue to support but it also doesn't help when the CRTC won't approve Onesoccer to be on linear tv I'm saying is hit every angle and do the subscription service as well doesn't help when it's getting run by a monopolies

      chill bro, Hajduk Split were formed in 1911. Aletico Ottawa were formed in 2020. Hajduk have a 100 year head start, of course they get more fans.

    Fix that surface asap pls. The ball bounced less than it was supposed to-causing some of those atrocious misses. ❤🤍
