My total spend on apparel including helmet, boots, gloves was for new quality bike gear was $400, that happened because I waited for specials, the jacket was a $400 price at MX on special out they go $69, I just waited for the specials. The bike new was $8500 on special, I waited for the end of Financial year sale. When you are low income, you learn to wait for the price cuts and be ready to go when it happens. What you are explaining are prices that suit someone that has disposable income, and it doesn't hurt them to spend big on their gear. Not everyone is well off. Adventure riding shouldn't be a rich mans sport, it should be for everybody, but it is implied that it is a rich mans sport. My rego, green slip and Comp. Insur is only $577, my bike is only a 400cc, so that makes it cheaper, and it is cheaper in NSW. If you want cheaper rego and costs, keep your bike below 725cc, you really don't need bigger unless you are Enduro, and want to ride high speed offroad.
And when you come to the realization you need a 1200 series, a 700 series, a 450 series, a 300 series adventure Bike. The costs are priceless and I hope your bank account is well funded. lol

Haha, yep. We’ve got 4 bikes already and about to get another. But rather than capacity its categories, adv, road, classic 😜
I bought a used 450EXC and with all the riding gear, luggage, nav, new tyres and one years running costs I'm in for €3360 ($5376Aus).
