Wow the island is being devoured by the sea slowly. Sad that Kiribati may rest underwater in the future. Hope a solution to this matter arises and that the population and it's culture stays preserved there.
So you are telling me that you did a flight from some where in the US to Kiribati? O.o Am guessing from Hawaii perhaps or Guam or one of the small island territories in the Pacific. @@Flyingthrulife
I was there in 1957 (and Malden Island) for operation Grapple, I got to know the island very well, and the shape has not changed from then to now according to the photos from the space station, you must have got that info about the rising sea levels from the little fellahs ot the bottom of your garden !!!

Johnny Gonzalez they charged me $300 USD to convert from USD to Australian. I hope that will fund some of their conservation efforts.
