- Hailing from Canada, ''Light Blending In'' produces cold, distant , warming, emotional landscapes. Equipped with lo-fi downtempo drum beats here and out the album 'Last Word'. With a distinct meaning behind the artists music, a sense of freedom to express. Lost souls , Lonely Nights as much as we like the dark. The light will always blend in.

LCVII i knew it, sangam was there
The first song reminded me of arriving at a small town bus terminal in the dead of night.
That second track is gorgeous
@@beanfotchott3303 it really is.
@@beanfotchott3303 true 🐬
I once landed in Hong Kong at midnight with a 12-hour layover ahead. Walked to the other terminal in this practically empty airport with shops closed, floor cleaned, nobody around and dark outside. I had nothing to do, and couldn't sleep. So I just sat there. For a really long time.
I so bad want to experience this at least once in my life for some reason
@@Yickerman it happened to me and it got pretty boring pretty quickly.. tho it did have that cool desolate vibe
@@Yickerman That reason has a name. Its called decadence.
@@Yickerman You'll know when it happens to you, only after it happens.
Peaceful ❤
This picture and the music give me the felling of arriving at 2am in a semi closed regional Airport.
Now, you can surely have this feeling irl
It's almost like you looked at the picture.
@@xCheeseHead95x Well, the music also gives a new dimension to the image.
With you the listener leaving the Airport Building next to the glass terminal with just a few cars in the parking lot and an gentle cold breeze on a late summer night.
As you drive home on an empty freeway and arrive at your home you realise that the black sky turned royalblue and the first signs of the rising sun are noticeable.
@@rafaelvarga8185 this is beautiful
I imagine the flight was pretty empty. Maybe 4 other passengers, so you could spread out and sit anywhere you pleased. You likely did find a great spot near 26A, once the cabin lights dimmed around 3am EST. Just another 5 hours until touchdown.
the simultaneously feels like being in a fancy hotel at midnight, being underwater, walking through a dead mall, being in an airport at midnight and being in the future all at once
Being alone......
Yes,bieng alone.thank god.
That is called the backrooms my friend.
Lol great way to explain it...

You know that feeling when a track or even an entire album brings back a time in your life that you had almost forgotten, that was almost on the verge of being forever lost in your memories? Pure bliss.
Yeah, I know what you mean
Hey. I heard the first song in this album and thought of you. The night we lost you i saw a shooting star and figured it was your way of saying goodbye. My hair is real long now and I’ve gotten a lot better at cooking. I still cut herbs the way you taught me. I even go to the gym almost everyday now like you did. I wish you had stayed and I’m quite lost without you to be honest but I know the pain you felt and understand why you had to go. I think it got passed to me and Dan after you left, but it’s okay with me because even though it hurts i feel like I get to carry a part of you with me now. I don’t know what’s after this but I hope one day maybe in the next life we’ll cross paths again. Thank you for being the big sister I never really had. I miss you kimchi. I love you. I always will.
every night I stay up till 4 am after I've done all my work, wishing the world weren't so cold and lonely. This music is a the eerie and lonely beauty of life personified. I will never be happy like I was taught as a kid, I will never reach true happiness, but I will try to get close.
Relatable
(Sighs)
I think I needed to read this. It’s 4am here and I’ve felt so empty and alone for so long. Your last line hit me like a truck. It makes me want to try harder as a a person. Thank you.
Albums like this prove that the Vapor genre is more than just old workout videos played at .5x speed through a tape player. Vapor is more than a fad; it might just be the foundation of a tremendous body of styles and sub-genres.
I've thought the same thing. Music is an evolving entity. Bands( if they can actually be called bands) like Light Blending In, Filmmaker, and Haircuts For Men have found a cutting edge out there past the horizon of most casual listeners. They're doing things with sound that are otherworldly, and I feel like hearing them is a reward for daring to step out of the box.
@@joshperry6700 Light Blending In and HFM are one person projects
@@cmxvvideos9836 They all are. But thanks for being enough of a pedant to point that out.
@@joshperry6700 what
Wouldn’t describe this as vapor.
More ambient/IDM like ‘Burial’, ‘Aphex Twin’, ‘Global Communication’ and ‘Monolake’.
You could say it sounds like OPN, the godfarther of vapor but his music has been described as more ambient.
I lost my family when I was a teenager. No, they didn't die, we just didn't work anymore. I was sleeping during the day and awake at night, and it was like this for weeks. Each night I walked to the local library, which had a park connected to it. I'd sit at the edge of the empty fountain. Nobody ever came to bother me. Nobody came at all. There were just a few lights in the park. Orange glow. Those days were the loneliest I'd ever felt. My brain acted on it's own. Some of the most horrifying thoughts... some of the most beautiful too...
I know the feeling, is like try to reconnect to yourself without people
Really hope you’re doing better. It’s so interesting how so many of us have the same experiences and songs like this take us back just for a moment. There’s such a troubling beauty in that melancholy but as horrifying as those thoughts and moments were they’ve made us into the people we are now. Glad to be here with you on this earth at the same time even if it’s just in a comment section my friend.
@@Shibby4L I would never take back those growing pains for anything. Yes, i am monumentally better in comparison to those days. It was 15 years ago, but sometimes feels like last year.
It’s so mind blowing to me how so many people who listen to this genre have such similar experiences. It’s terrifying and simultaneously soothing. Like we’re all suffering in solitude in the same empty hallways and terminals, empty parks and office buildings, under the same orange lamps and fluorescent bulbs. We all been scarred by the nostalgia knife. Bleed that same aged green neon of the past decades we can never return to. We’re all alone, together.
Thanks for being here with us.
Frustrated people looking for soothing experiences...
For example music like this.
Take the edge away and you will find the same conclusion.
But yeah, welcome to the solitude of oneself, together.
it’s scary to read people going through experiences that are so different than mine. They’re miles away, yet i read they’re little bits as if they sent it just for me to read. everything aligning so perfectly for me to come into contact with another person
This is an essential for an introvert living downtown.
"Inspiration" is a fuckin' masterpiece.
For me this album will always sound like Pandemic Winter in Berlin.
I played it riding almost empty S-Bahn trains only encountering masked figures. I played it in grocery stores shopping for snacks minutes before curfew.
It reminds me of empty malls, an empty airport, an industrial scale vaccination site filled with people in colorful warning wests.
For me this album sounds like coming home late at night to my tiny studio apartment, taking off my mask, disinfecting my hands one last time, returning to this little bubble of safety.
This is the music of a sterile metropolis stripped of all its life, bare infrastructure.
*insert detailed and nostalgic comment regarding the environment in which you played this album in*
Driving through my city 2am, just left the kratom bar. It's drizzling. The season is dead, the air is dense and warm. There's a glow in the traffic lights and signs passing me by.. My mind wanders as I flow through the streets, thinking of all the memories from my past in this city I have grown up in. The future is here, the past has come..
my present was then. I am here now. Let's move forward and on. I wave goodbye as I say hello..
I walk into my room, staring at my bed, I lay my head to slumber in my thoughts...
Deep sleep is here, take me here.
No pain and no fear.
really good man
Kratom! ✌✌✌
Amazing.
i just shit my pants a little but i have more enchiladas cooking in the oven..
@@mellitrom629 you son of a bitch... I want the enchiladas.
Beautiful album. This channel is the only thing that keeps me from going insane while doing my school work.
This album is honestly top notch. I hope more ambient lovers familiarize themselves with it, it deserves to become a classic.

This album is like sitting in a hot tub.
Where has this been hiding for two years?
I remember arriving in San Jose from San Diego at midnight and the airport being totally empty, and how we had to call a special taco that was up at that time to get us to where she parked her car. Good times
Wow track 1 I feel as if I am in a dream
this album is so special
dryer machine in the background at 25 minutes, love that. perfect for studying man
Different ideas is pure bliss
This is a great record. But that cover art sticks with me more than anything. Something about it..I don't know what it is but it's so compelling
Had a dream once where I was walking down my neighbourhood in complete darkness, alone. Usually people would get creeped out in that situation but it just felt... nice. I'm often hit with the visceral feeling that something else happened in the dream that I couldn't quite remember; although I distinctly recall seeing my family mere moments before the dream ended. Weird experience, to say the least. I don't know what caused that dream or what its purpose was, but it'll continue to occupy my thoughts for a long time.
Like drinking henny in heaven. Ambient Masterpiece.
Different ideas is my favorite 🐬
Understand that this style of music is not new nor was it 'invented ' by these modern artists style you all call 'vapor' . The minimalist synth composing style has been around since the late 70s. One just has to go back and look in the right places to find it.
this style of ambient/idm peaked during the 90s with artists like boarders of Canada, aphex twin.
Hey baby, I’ve lost you again
Hey darling, I’ve found you once more
Hey everything, I want nothing from you
Hey stars, your light shines the oceans
and the one left being in the middle of it all
“No need to shine on me”
Looking through window late night in my home with this playing...night went to a whole new level...
This is nice to listen to at night while walking down a busy city avenue.
There's no way I'd walk down a busy city avenue with earphones and music blocking my ability to hear my surroundings. But I get what you mean.
I need to travel to a bigger city
the first track is so indescribably beautiful. i love this channel. i've found some music that just touches me so deeply.
This channel does gods work 🐬
easily one of my most favorite albums of all time in all of the vaporwave genres and sub genres.

excellent
Tracks 5 and 10 are superb. The whole album is proof things were done just as well five years ago. 👌
*OH BOY IT IS FANTASTIC*
Lovely stuff in this album
Thought Processing has the same repeating structure as Discarded Soul (Flicking Ash) from Sangam's album Among the Depths of Our. I wonder if there's a connection between the two, seeing that Sangam worked on this album as well.
Thanks for the recommendations.
I love this music.
What would you guys say Light Blending In’s best work is? I often find myself coming back to this one a lot.
This. Undoubtedly.
This one for sure.
Sublime.
I like colors of natural foilage of vegetations, of plants, like lush colorings of olive palettes that are of varying amounts of colors of dirt that this music reminds me of; I really much enjoyed the beauty of the graphical album art for this music and thought that the vibes of the photography were awesome of good stylistic aesthetics of pretty cohesion with of my perception of impressive noticing of this good art of the video post as much quality of good.
I like that this music of ambient style helps me live happier more while as more alone, like as comfortable with appropriate privacy that I keep.
I enjoy having good interests keeping of all of my favorite arts that inspire me to more use new arts as like new musical albums to listen to more that inspire my creative thinking like with new abstract ideas of fun creativity of art, as like healthy hobby of mindfulness.

Why people calls this vaporwave? This was always called ambient music.
Vaporwave incorporates ambient techniques as well in much of its music, as do some of it's subgenres. Ambient doesn't mean music is vaporwave however, as things like Dungeon Synth include ambient techniques and aren't vaporwave.
this isnt vaporwave, this is ambient
Methane Frontier :
Might have had something to do with “The father of Vaporwave” OPN. He’s mostly an ambient/glitch musician but release ‘Eccojams’ which is mostly seen as the first vaporwave album. He wasn’t the first to do it, since post-WW1 musicians were using what was now called “plunderphonics” in a genre called Musique Concrete which altered existing records/tapes/objects into something new as a performance piece. But ‘Eccojams’ popularised plunderphonics to a new audience. Back in my day it was DJShadow, today OPN and tomorrow it’ll be someone else. My point is a lot of people were introduced to OPN’s back catalogue and just because a lot of his music is indeed ambient, it uses a load of samples and synths associated with the 80’s to 2000’s. Something people call vaporwave now rather than ambient just because he’s used recordings from that period.
That’s my theory anyway, don’t know much about music also I’m gay.
[*EDIT: Post WW2, not pre-WW1]
@@MillywiggZ correct me if I'm wrong (idk alot abt music either tbh) but didnt Erik Satie start ambient music or something ? like he had pieces designed to be played in the background rather than be the main focus?
Idk I just find it interesting to trace this stuff back thru the centuries haha
RISHABH DEB : Bit like the blind leading the blind here haha.
Wikipedia says the origin was in 1960’s at some point. We all know whatever music you research “The Beatles” have apparently done it first as if there was no musical innovation between classical and “The Beatles”. 😒
I’ll look the name up though, does this have anything to do with cinema pre-amble or muzak?
