Undertale touches my soul. All I want is for Chara and Asriel to be alive and happy, the Dreemurr family together, loving one another...and humanity suffering for all they've done to them. Despite all of that, I do genuinely love Chara. I feel sorry for how the fandom portrays her as evil, and as weak as Frisk. I suppose I am a simp for her.
I do like chara as a character, (pun not really intended but probably is intended) i believe she isnt the villian. I honestly would want to help her if i was in undertale
A year late, but yeah, its unfortunate how people just scapegoat Chara (Tho, tbf, that's... oddly appropriate, what with them being in a family of goat-people with one literally named after Azrael, an angel of death (But Asriel is too lovable to be scapegoated), and they pop up at the end of Genocide/No-Mercy, so I get it, but still). They aren't the demon a lot of the fandom makes them out to be. In reality, they're just a kid who was dealt a really bad hand (Even if we don't get to know what *exactly* happened to them) and they grew to resent humanity because of it. Hell, their original goal was to free the monsters of the underground by collecting the other souls themself (Either that or having Asriel do it, not sure if they knew they'd have control over the body). Realistically, they have no reason to push the player into doing the G/NM route. They only take control near the end due to the player's influence, so its arguably the other way around. Idk, its interesting and a lot is left up to interpretation, but I don't think Chara being evil was meant to be interpreted (Tho, as Asriel mentions, they probably weren't the *best* person in the world, but who is?). :P -(hopefully my rambling makes some sense lol)-

Having failed, Chara tried to regain control, but with minimal results. So they sat in an endless limbo, until they were able to seize power again. But they knew Frisk was to never reset after they got their happy ending, so Chara gave up, and sat there, in an endless limbo, *forever...*
