Gorgeous display gardens tour 🌿

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 ก.ย. 2023
- Back in August I had a chance to visit the Gardens at Ball at the Ball Horticulture headquarters in West Chicago, Illinois. It was a great time but the best part is always touring the display gardens, which are not open to the public.

Woe! Slow down! Absolutely amazing and will have to watch again so I can pause the video and take it all in, which I did in fact do midway through. In retrospect, this format is a huge time saver as I really have to start dinner... 😅 Thanks for sharing.
Incredible colours of all the flowers, too good not toshare, is right!! I can only imagine how beautiful it was in person. So many creative ideas. Cheers from Toronto, Ontario Canada 😊🇨🇦
Wow. I’ve never seen anything like that! That’s incredible. Thank you!
Erin! Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us! What a treat! (I loved the music, too!)
I liked the designs of the beds as well as their color combinations. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Erin 🌺 .wonderful and beautiful gardens . Bretty flowers . Have anice day .🌺🌻🌺
I have to say, I wish I were part of a master gardener group or garden club to attend. It's practically in my own backyard of Naperville. Thanks for sharing.
Erin thank you for the tour. I have several cool planter ideas for next year. Inspirational!
Thank you so much for sharing. So many great ideas!
Thanks for sharing. Stunning gardens
Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration! 🌸🌿
Thanks Erin, this is beautiful ‼️
That bold burgandy coleus was fantastic. The canna's too, just lovely.
Everything is beautiful! In particular the hillside garden with all the grasses was inspirational for me. I think that would be CA zone 9 friendly and low maintenance-ish.
So much that's gorgeous!! The pink and white cleome (?) 1:26 really caught my attention.
Wow! This is about 20 minutes away from me and I didn’t know it existed. I was actually in West Chicago this afternoon. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful video. Wish I had more space for mass planting, lots of great ideas.
Thanks for this video, and for including Roy Diblik's design! I was there on August 5th this year, for Open Day, and it was my first time visiting. It was stunning! Even though it rained lightly the whole time we were there, it was so overwhelmingly beautiful. I will be back!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. 4:15 pm September 16 in Barbados.
I was there too! Would have been fabulous to meet you! The gardens and talks were amazing!
Wow! Thank you Erin for continuing to educate about all things gardening! And in our Midwest backyard!
What a creative way to plant a hillside! Thanks for sharing all the beauty!
What a lovely video, so inspiring . Thank you 😊
Thank you Erin, your video gave me some ideas as to new plants I want to try and grow ! 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃
Thanks for sharing, Erin. That new silver swirl caught my eye as well as those massive containers on the hillside. The dichondra silver falls spilling over...wow! 💚
I want to live there.❤❤❤❤
Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!
These display gardens are just beautiful and your music choice was the perfect compliment
Very nice👍👍
I kept saying "wait, go back!" "What was that plant?"❤❤
Wow, everything was stunning. Nothing better than to see beautiful gardens very inspiring. Thanks for sharing with us. 👍❤️😊
So fun! Thanks for the tour! 😁
“ There’s a coleus for that”
🩷❤️🩷
That was so nice to watch this morning! Thx Erin!
Those gardens look amazing! I'm hopeful that one day, I'll be able to visit in person. Absolutely my favourite part of the summer is when I have the opportunity to tour gardens, both locally and when I travel - I'll be at the Fling next week (my 7th!) and am so excited for all of the amazing gardens that Karl has put together!
How fun to see! Especially to see a Roy Diblik garden. So much inspiration, container designs are endless
Wow! I live not far from here and was not aware - thanks for sharing! I hope you were able to visit Cantigny while you were there, just 10 minutes away.
Good morning, Erin☕️ You were correct, gorgeous! The Banana Cherry looked amazing! Perhaps it was a Supertunia? Looks like the new Vivid Orchid coming out next year. So impressive 😍 Have a Blessed Day 😊
I think my favorite was “Little Lamb”
Thank you for the tour. The colors and displays were beautiful.
I've had many successes in my garden this year. The fails this summer are now like what did you not think I could do THIS and turn into the most amazing plants. Gura cherry red. I can't wait till next summer. I really loved this video.
Thank you Erin, maybe go a little bit slower next time?😊 It might be me, I have a headache! Gorgeous! Blessings 💕🤗
Thank you for sharing . Nice to see different plants for inspiration. I like a garden a little more wild like yours to be honest though and I have learned so much from you. Question, have you thought of growing Heathers or Heaths in your garden. I am moving to Michigans upper peninsula next summer and have seen them grown in upstate NY. Wondering why it is not more common in US. Love the channel and your gardens.
Ok, now I won't be able to go without ornamental millet in my garden next year.
Wonderful! Is there a list of must see gardens to visit n each state? Would love to hear suggestions! 😊
Just beautiful! What is the name of the daylily looking plant with the tall dark flower stalk? It is so interesting.
thanks for sharing. would love to know how they fertilize their annuals. My Chicago garden had over 500 hostas and they loved it. I had some big ones but nothing like the one you showed. My dogs were very good at keeping the deer away. I've been studying annual plants for next year. What have best habitat for growing together in large beds. Would like to stay away from the mounded look. Please share if you have thoughts. I saw a lot in this garden that would work. Enjoy!
Thanks
Love this tour! Does anyone know what the tall slender stalks are in the planter at 3:30? Some kind of allium maybe?
Very nice, Erin. Thank you. Just…can you please slow it down…..motion sickness….big time.
What are the plants in the foreground at 7:36? They're really different and I've never seen anything like them.
Music so distracting had to mute everything else stunning thank you!
