I bought a clean 79 450SEL in 1989. It had a rough idle. I bought a pressure test kit at the autoparts store that came with all the correct fittings, set it all up, and everything checked out. I had all the official MB manuals. Turned out it was the disintegrating vacuum hoses. But later it was the warmup regulator, followed by the accumulator. If only there was an internet then. My whole experience with that car ( I loved it,) was trial by fire and reading very heavy books. Today's internet viewers have no idea what a gift your site is. I would say that with almost every episode of yours that deals with that era of gasoline v-8s and their drive trains i got to revisit some repair I had to make without such professional/practical advice. And I did master the CIS system and ultimately thought it was brilliant..
See, I can fix my washer and dryer but…. That octopus thing that lives on top of my engine, I leave that to the local Mercedes mechanic. It’s a good relationship, I’ve taken many of trips trouble free because of him and the quality of the car. Thank you for your videos Kent.
Deal. You place an order on my website, and I will send you green gloves. But you must email sales@mercedessource.com informing my staff that you just placed an order, and Kent promised to send green gloves :-)
What's required for using it with the 2.3 4 cylinder? Will you extend the kit for that or offer a separate extension? I need this to fix my dishwasher 😂
The issue is I do not have access to a 2.3 fuel distributor,so I can confirm fitment. Maybe you could send me some close-up pictures of your engine so we can figure it out. Send to sales@mercedessource.com. Thanks, Kent
sorry we do not ship to Spain, but if you have a freight forwarding company here in the U.S. we can ship to them. Here is more info: mercedessource.com/news/international-order-information
Speaking as one mechanic to another, you'd have to have rocks in your head to do it. Plumbers make more money. But they never get the satisfaction of a job well done that a mechanic does because of the difficulty involved.' A washing machine has an electric motor, a belt drive, some lights and switches, some water valves, maybe a door and a hinge. A motor car has that and and: an internal combustion engine, brakes, fluid coolers, hinges, windscreen wipers, air conditioners, complex electrical systems, fluid reservoirs, complex suspension systems, reciprocating and rotating components, coolants, oils, transmissions, fuel delivery systems, lights, instruments, mountings to prevent NVH, security systems, heaters, bearings, insulation mounts etc etc.etc. A motor vehicle is the most complex everyday consumer item that exists and mechanics are called upon to fix, restore and maintain them. Don't give up your day job Kent.
The appliances will all be running better than new ;)
Thanks for watching the entire video... LOL

Ha ha. Great salesmanship. Will be purchasing the fuel gage kit as soon as I get my new to me 1993 190E 2.6 to my home.
Made it to the end. Send the green gloves instead of the blue ones, Kent.

It is newer. It has the LH-Jetronic
Nada de lavadoras. Sigue con los Mercedes!!!
