She wrote this when she was in her mid-twenties. Now that she's gone round and round in the circle game for nearly years, would that she could write us three more verses for this exquisite masterpiece. She has gifted the world so many beautiful songs, but none better than this.

Absolutely brilliant I first heard this when my son was 4 (I,ve got the album Ladies of the Canyon) This is spot on.This year the boy will be 50.Hopefully when this corona mess is over there will be better dreams and plenty.Before his last revolving year is through!

when i was in grade school we had a music teacher (Mr Walkup ) who was fluent in many instruments and he would teach us the songs and we would sing as he played , its one of the best memories of my life , thanks for the flash back memories

What an inspiring version of this song, Joni would be proud. I got here by quite a circuitous, path, ironic right? I recently watched the Kennedy Center tribute to Joni and realized more deeply what a talented songwriter she really is. I hope you have seen it. Her artwork is more evidence of her talent. I remembered this song afterward and decided to learn to play it as she was around when I first listened to music. (I am a singer/songwriter who also plays piano). After watching a couple of videos with Joni playing it, I stumbled onto your video and was blown away. Thanks for sharing your music.
