    I feel the padding is a bit thin for me too. If it was thicker, it would be more comfy with heavy load.
    But it’s usable for me. It doesn’t bother me. What does is the width of the strap. It digs into my pits. The foam inside isn’t as wide as the strap so there’s excess fabric on the side.

    I felt the padding was sufficient but I was disappointed at how HEAVY this bag is. I wish I had seen your review before I ordered, but it didn’t come up when I searched

    I literally just bought a rainmaker yesterday.... Yourself and another lady are the only ones I could find to say anything negative about the straps, every other reviews praised the straps! So I really hope this is only an issue with her's and your bag and I hope greenroom will be able to provide some clarity for you. From what I read they seem to be provided good service 😊

      It was during a high demand time and I'm thinking it was a mistake on their part because they had also forgotten to make some other changes to my bag. I'm hoping it is a mistake because the bag is so well made.

    Hello Elise, yes is a more heavy backpack, but i have mine and is great, super comfortable, i have the same nike backpack, but bought from Bubba, but it the same backpack, and although it is comfortable, the rainmaker look and fell more confortable for me. Maybe the heavy of the fabric make you problems. Best reagrds from Chile.

    Hi Elise, people always mention that the rainmaker is so heavy! So I was wondering if you still have it and could weigh it for me? I'm curious what a custom one would weigh. And this is the smaller 22l version right? Called medium.
    Thanks 🙏

    so glad I found this, I need decent padding on my straps and I was skeptical of the padding review by chase reeves

    I'd be interested in seeing a more complete review, as you have it customised in almost the same way I was planning (I wasn't going to go for the bottom compression straps and I was going off-menu for some of the materials).
    Could you also comment on the build quality (not just the materials) as I'm constantly hearing that production quality is high but that's not always the impression I'm getting from this video and from the many user photos I've seen (in this video, note the sloppy stitching to the organisation pockets and the scrunched up edging to the straps, at the bottom. It also looks like the shoulder straps aren't fixed symmetrically with relation to the back panel).
    Thanks.

    i customized the genesis pack. think i used it like 3 times and had to leave it in my closet. its way too heavy. the back needs more padding or a rigid insert. if you pack it out it bulges towards the back so stuff will poke you. i almost forgot about the webbing it feels so cheap.
    am i out of the loop cuz ppl love these bags.

    This bag is too big for what you want to carry. I find the straps comfy enough, so I it may depend on body shape.

      Patrick Sison severe fatigue and stress on my traps and shoulders

      Patrick Sison has to pull the straps off my shoulders to relieve them while walking. And that was just within a few minutes.

    Where is the follow-up video with GR136's response?

    • @SykIntegrity
      @SykIntegrity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They did not reply to numerous emails, like at all. I wanted to make one. But I didnt want to it be a bash video. It's a small business working out kinks. It's a problem they feel they can ignore because it's probably maybe 1 in 5 people complaining (my guess is it's us females whose shoulders are too small for such burly shoulder straps).
      I ended up taking the loss and I got myself a bellroy shift. This has been way more comfortable for my small shoulders. Carrying just as much and sometimes more and way more comfortable.

    • @SykIntegrity
      @SykIntegrity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh dude. At this point calm down. It’s a guess. Not a fact. By not replying they have left me to guessing. Go back to the forums if you don’t want honesty. At this point you’re just delusional. There is a problem with the bag and no reply from the company after multiple emails. That’s not bashing. Just facts of the problems that have not been resolved.

    • @SykIntegrity
      @SykIntegrity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And just because nobody on your "forum" doesn't have a problem with their bag doesnt mean there aren't people who have problems with the bag. There are opinions and bag ratings and problems outside of your forum. So please calm down and stop going onto every comment just because you and your forum have zero problems with your bags. Some of us want to show other people the negatives so they can make an informed decision.

    • @SykIntegrity
      @SykIntegrity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude it's a review I was showing people if they get the bottle pocket that that is what it does. Seriously calm down at this point. You are being overly sensitive. It's a honest review, not deceptive praise. Give it a rest. Honest reviews aren't bashing.

    I turned my customization order in but have not paid yet, not being able to return is scary financially so I have researched a ton. No need to ask if you got over and ended up liking it, I have a feeling you didn't. What did you end up replacing it with if anything? My son is starting college in the fall and I want comfort for him #1 and capacity to hold books. We have ordered a ton and returned all (for free thankfully) except Thule Crossover. Son likes it but I was "thinking" a mass produced one from Amazon as the Thule is may not be good enough to last which is why I am at Rainmaker. Thank you

    • @chewsir
      @chewsir 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      And the laptop compartment does not provide adequate protection against drops. A great bag would suspend the laptop.

  • @roddenby
    @roddenby 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Total bullshit. I have mystery ranch x 3, Eberlestock, triple aught design, north face, recycled firefighter, greenroom x 3, granite gear, camelback and much more - about 7-10k worth of packs and the Rainmaker (which I own 2) is up there with the best.
    Any pack made out of cordura is going to be reasonably heavy, straps are more than adequate for the job. I personally don’t feel the pack on my back when packed out. This is what happens when Smurf’s review packs.
    My rainmaker has been around the world and abused and it has handled it very well.

      @Richtea78 mine was specifically a complaint that they probably dont hear about so they felt they could ignore it or I got lost in the email mix. I'm not saying they did it on purpose. But they did not reply. I even sent them the link to the video. They would have replied in the comments had they seen it. But they didn't. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. They were really quick to reply when my money was sent and they were in the midst of making my bag. But as soon as it was done, the only time they replied is when I told them they left off some changes I had made to the bag that they also agreed on. They said sorry. Gave me a discount code that I never used because I didnt need another bag. Next email was about the straps. Never heard from them.

    • @SykIntegrity
      @SykIntegrity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1
