I’m in East TN (Smokies) and I haven’t found a builder that will/can do a barndominium so I’m thankful for your videos and info. Looks like I will self build when I’m ready and will use you and your self build tools. Thank you.
Truly amazing that you take all this time to share your expertise with us all. I wish you lived closer.. Canada closer lol.. You do amazing work! We are looking , again, at doing a barndo here in Canada. I love how informative you are and love that you share your knowledge, experiences and priceless tips! Thanks so much! Happy building!
It all comes down to proper sub grade prep. If you make sure you are on well compacted site with 4-6” of compacted of rock for drainage u should not have cracking outside of your relief cuts.
I have a 60x80 red iron frame (18' side walls) with Main frame columns and rafters with the purlins and girts. I don't have true steel end walls, roof or wall "X" braces, or eave struts. Is this something you can finish the design, possibly a hybrid (partially post frame). Looking forward to your reply
Awesome build and video. Two questions please. 1- why pour footings, build structure and then pour slab vs pouring slab then build structure? 2- I didn’t see any of the underground utilities being installed and priced? Thanks again!
Hi we are starting a self build and we would love your help we already have plans that we’d like to share with you and get whatever recommendations you may have.
curiosity; is there a reason the columns are set towards the back of the piers rather than center? or is that just how it lined up after coring the hole
How much is the cost?

How much does this particular build generally cost? My husband and I are looking into building
When you pour the slab for the main floor is cracking a concern without traditional foundations?
