Hi! That’s so awesome!! Can you tell me why you had to drill into the black plastic piece of the Hobie where the drive fits? How did you modify it to get it to fit the motor? Thank you!
I work for Dakota Lithium, have had a few customers lose their batteries at the bottom of a lake or river. Best to have it in a waterproof battery box or dry bag tied down to the kayak as water damage isn't covered under warranty.
@@2ndnatureoutdoor140 most boxes you'll find are too small for a 100Ah battery, we just got our 100Ah down from group 31 to group 24 size by switching from cylindrical to prismatic cells.
Thank you for a great video, wish you nothing but the best with your new motor. God bless.
Great addition to your fishing rig. Game changer indeed, my fisherman friend.

Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, drill for the shaft to fit through.
just getting around to this vid. love it man!!
Awesome! Will you teach how you deal with getting your cart in and out of the holes easily when launching? Thanks so much! 😊
@TheDarkHorse949 all you have to do is get flat aluminum about 18" long and push between your kayak slot and it will align the propella
@@2ndnatureoutdoor140 that makes zero sense
What is the total length of the motor shaft after you cut it down? I am interested in trying this.
@MichaelRutenberg-p9c
Thank for watching. It 24" shaft. It fit perfectly so I did not need to cut it down.
This is excellent. How much was that black 3d printed replacement piece?
Hi, it came with the Lynx when I purchased

So what is on the bottom side of the cassette? what keeps your motor from turning or spinning?
@ttoon1983 I'm not sure what your question?
@@2ndnatureoutdoor140 does the motor shaft rotate freely in the cassette?
Nice I just got 18lb thrust water snake with 100ah mini 12v battery for my lynx
💯 easier on those rougher days
I tested out the motor man it works great and I was able to reach farther in less time and less tired. Great idea
hows this held up? was the battery enough?
@badhombrefishing thank for watching. The battery is more then enough. I would say 50ah would be perfect.
What happens to the battery if you tip over?
Lol. It will go down. Na JK. All strap down
