introducing a game I've been making nearly 2 years.
All the in-game characters, music and places are made by me. (except for some assets like trees and bushes that are from the dreamiverse.)
I'm actually currently developing a Groke horror game that lets you play with 7 different characters (Moomintroll, Snufkin, Moominpappa, Sniff, Alice, Little My and Muskrat) where you collect items on the dark frozen moominvalley while one of the 7 "villain" characters of the series chases after you. (That includes The Groke, Lady of the Cold, The Imp, Hattifatteners, Tarsier Moomintroll, The Ancestor Moomin and The Water Nymph) The development is taking a very long time. I want it to be the ultimate game for the moomin fans with lots of references to the 90's series' episodes and other moomin media and also have great mechanics and cutscenes. The game will have updated models of the characters that look more crisp than before.
UPDATE 27/7/2024: The game is lauching with just 1 playable character and 1 villain, and those are Moominpappa and The Groke. I will add the others later.
Also, I have made a trailer for the game which I'm planning on releasing as a "Launch Trailer" to my TH-cam channel along side when I release the game.
I have tried this game (the video playing) on my friend's ps5 the other day! I absolutely loved as much as the original series. Thank you so much!!!
When this horror game is finished, can you please let me know? You don't know which feelings that went through me while playing the 2 games you already made. They where so amazing! Can't wait for the horror game!

I really, really like this. The excitement of summer, with all your friends and family... and the melancholic, solitary somberness of winter. With a rather fearful encounter with the Groke, no less... the darkness of the Moominhouse almost makes this feel like a horror game...
I absolutely love this. All the locations are super familiar from my childhood, but seeing them in 3D gives me a while new understanding of different places in the outside and within the house relate to one another. You've definitely captured the Moominvalley vibe that is present in the series, but by making it free to roam you've added something unique to it. Thank you so much for creating this!

Everything about this is brilliant, simply brilliant! It captures the serene nature that the moomins bring as well as the horror it has to offer!
By heavens that scene when Groke starts chasing you is intense and creepy. And my toast for you and this game!

Aikoinaan myös mallinsin muumitalon, ja tuli todettua että kyseessä on aika-avaruutta uhmaava rakennus sarjan perusteella. Naantalin muumitalo vastaa aika hyvin realistista skaalaa.

Aivan kauheeta tuo Mörkö kohtaus. Lapsuuden traumat tulee esiin. Iso peukku muumitalosta!
Ensin katsoin, että onpa soma demo, Pikku-Myy juoksee Haisulia perästä. Olin vaikuttunut ja seurasin mielenkiinnolla, koska oon ihan varma, että Muumeista saisi pirun hyvän avoimen maailman pelin, jota me jo aikuisetkin mielellämme pelattaisiin jos sen kirjoittaisi hyvin. Joskus jopa mietin, että mitenkähän toimisi pöytäroolipelinäkin!
Sitten siirryttiin talveen ja tunnelma oli heti hyytävä ja tuuli vinkui. Mörön ärinä oli aika oh shit, mutta sitten sieltä se sitten tulikin! Kuumottava takaa-ajo ja sen kädet ojentui lähelle tullessa tosi kriipisti, mutta hitto mä säikähdin sitä siinä ikkunan takana! Kulkeminen hiljaisessa muumitalossa lyhdyn kanssa oli upea. Lyhyeen videoon siinä oli jo draaman tuntua!
Mitä tuo VR compatibility tuossa meinaa? Tuota voi pelata VR:llä!?

Kiitos paljon! 😁 VR ei ole mahdollinen tällä hetkellä. Tuo prompti vain näkyy minulle että voisin siitä painamalla ilmoittaa että pelin voi myös pelata VR:llä.
Pelin lämpömittarit on jo aika täysillä, että VR ominaisuuden lisääminen ei onnistu. Voisin kyllä kokeilla tehdä erillisen "VR version" jossa on minimoitu lämpömittaria...

Still remember the game 'Suuri Muumijuhla' It was a Finnish/Swedish Moomin game from the year 1996. It was also a 3D game but the game ran extremely poorly on computers from that time. The game also would sometimes lose color and then some of the characters would become black and white until you restart the game.
I remember that too, I've actually considered remaking it in Dreams but it would be such a big project to do
