I love these stories! I have the upmost respect for dairy farmers of the past especially. They worked their asses off, they were innovative, strong, and yet kind and understanding to those around them. Congratulations to this man, he deserves some rest, and relaxation.
I just came up on this video by accident. I saw the guy by the tractor and thought he sure looks like my uncle Gerald. And it is. My dad, brother and I helped him on the farm in Zumbrota. My brother helped him on the Elsworth farm for a number of years. Just like he said you work all your life and do not know what to do when retired. My mom, Gerald's sister, says the same thing. Thanks for the video. Brought back many memories!!
My father bought a brand new 756 in 1968 it was a diesel, damn good tractor ran a 2 row Fox corn Harvester did all our heavy work then we went to a 966 we kept the 756, really miss that tractor enjoyed the video very entertaining!

We only have a large garden each year 😅 we have a ‘39 Farmall M, a ‘56 Farmall 100 and a ‘81 IH 274 Diesel. Love these tractors! Thanks for asking 👍 My Dad farmed a little in the ‘60’s & ‘70’s. Take care! 🙂
Love these videos just one thing i would like is to show a bit more of the tractor maybe start them and let us hear them run whenever its possible. Im fascinated by these big petrol tractors as we don't have them here in Ireland. what horse power is that and what kind of a fuel tank is on a gas tractor.
I would love the find a dairy farm in WI I've been looking for three years but there nothing more than 10 acre farms so if you know of one let me know I have the cow's and the equipment already
well i move and set mobile homes for 30 years plus and my dad bought a old international loadstar box truck best truck i ever own for hauling they truned on a dime
His last comment it's home for me. I've always had a purpose all my life and I'm wondering when I get too physically old to work with my purpose will be

My Dad farmed with a 656 and 966! Both awesome tractors!
I bet he was in the military as well
Great interview y'all! Own 3 IH's myself! From Sophia, N.C.
Do you farm in Sophia or just own tractors. If so, what do you raise?

It is good to hear the TRUTH on this tractor's performance and what it could do in the field
Great videos! Keep them coming! Would love to sit around and whittle wood with that old man!

The grain embargo caused a terrible drop in price combined with terrible high interest rates were devastating to farmers
Love this video. I've run a few of these old dogs too.
Would of been great to hear everything he was saying.
That’s my grandpa!!
Never seen a 756 gas in my area! We have a 756 German with an M&W and 12,000hr later still untouched engine that makes 110hp
Nice video
I've got a gas 806 thats in pretty good shape. Its a heavier tractor than you would think. Red iron weighs more i guess lol.

Thanks from europa. The Netherlands
Nice original 756 Gasser ..
His last comment it's home for me. I've always had a purpose all my life and I'm wondering when I get too physically old to work with my purpose will be
I have a 756 also mine has duel remote and hydrolic seat. But mine is a diesel
We had a 1456 and 966.
We farmed with an 806 gas, so looks like that same engine.
“Yup”
Where is his farm now. Where did he come from. Why do these farmers not go with beef cows later?
I'd rather run my 706 gas right now than the 1086. $2.66 a gallon burning 5 gallon an hour vs 1086 burning 5 gallon an hour at $3.65 per gallon
Love the story but the 756 was better with the German motor
Not worth watching to much talking just boreing
Why would you even bother taking the time to make that comment?
I find this very much worth watching . Keep them coming Mr. Kelly.
My dad and I had a 756 gas and our neighbor had a 756 diesel with the hydraulic seat and the tilt wheel both excellent machines .
