Also, as of recently, there have been a lot of scandals regarding the foundation (basically they have $6 million dollars worth of hair unaccounted for and they use the hair haphazardly which prevents them from making as many wigs as they have the potential to do. you can look up the details). But please do your research and make sure the company you plan to donate to is credible (application process isn't strenuous) and they have an ethic practice (of which locks of love is lacking). I recommend looking into Pantene Beautiful Lengths or Wigs For Kids.
Believe me, it was not out of guilt. I wanted to cut my hair, but at the same time, I had had long hair for so long, that I was scared that I'd regret it and want my long hair back. So if I donated it, at least it wouldn't have just been thrown out afterwards and I could have that in mind if I hated my new short hair. But luckily I loved it shorter so thats great

arghhhh omg when i found you you were my complete doppelgänger we have he same name, face and glasses and we had the same hair till about a month ago i cut all my hair off and donated it. and now you have cut your hair off we are the same again and it is exactly the same length this is so cool!!!!! ^-^
