Hey Paddy, I just picked up my Bexar and couldn't help but notice that your Bugout is actually a counterfeit. There are many ways to tell nowadays and your Bugout unfortunately checks all of the boxes. I can provide you some details privately if you want to confirm for yourself. Great video and comparisons though with the Bexar! Mine is really gritty even after disassembly/cleaning, so I guess I'll see how things turn out after it breaks in.
Stephen interesting knife but u see plenty of space to get paddy's potato peelers engraved on it I had anarchy Fox engraved on my spyderco bug as its my knick name but I do like the lanyard on knife 👍🐾🦊🇮🇹🍀
I almost bought one but then realized it was the 20cv version i was looking at I will def get one in Magnacut . I ended up getting a Case Saddlehorn in CF instead.
I like the comparison of this with the benchmade bugout. Being a UK lad, I know which one I would spend my money on. Plus, I want to check out the magnicut. Cheers, Paddy brilliant video!
That's a nice thin knife. Perfect knife for when you have to be dressed up or as a secondary. I am usually into stuff where heavier cutting is required, so a thicker handle is desired on a primary. It does outclass the Bugout, and I would definitely buy it instead.
A slip or sheath sure is handy on this thin lightweight knife, very easy to lose it without noticing. All premium materials.(no it's Magnacut, not Maxamet) Beats the plastic handles easily.Thank you for the long time carry review Stephen.
I like slim and slicey. Just bought the sandrin knifes monza with a 1.3mm tungsten carbide blade but is uk illegal. The slipjoint they have has a 0.9mm blade!!!
Risking making a fool of myself over knives I have never seen and much less have never carried, I would give the Bexar the nod over some of the other knives you have shown. Most importantly you can carry it in the UK which is the whole point. I live in Spain and can carry a locking knife, but my philosophy is to carry the least offensive piece possible. If I carry a locking knife it'll be a Chaparral, mini-Grip or similar. The 940/Mannix/ Navaja types I keep for when I go into the countryside/picnic/barbaque. But day to day edc for me is a slipjoint, usually a traditional pattern. My problem with high end knives is that I might lose one, I am a forgetful geezer. The Bexar ticks all my boxes, I'd imagine it's very comfortable and being lightweight is a big factor for me. I do think laying down 200 lids for a knife should buy you impeccable fit and finish.
It’s a beautiful knife but as a retired tool and die maker we’re being robbed if we pay the price they ask for a knife that hardly costs more than a gas station knife to make The only real extra cost is in the blade stock and it’s not $200 more than the steel in a RR imo Just saying Anyway Stephen I love your channel
I could never bring myself to accept a $200 + dollar knife with the imperfections noted here on this one. Id send it back immediately. Since I prefer a drop point instead of a clip point the quality wouldn't be an issue, Id never get one. From what I see here, my single blade Victorinox Alox is a better choice
Thank you so much for a wonderful video. your enthusiasm always puts me in a good mood after a hard day.
'Bear' is the correct pronunciation, at least in Texas. The name of a major county.
I own one and like it for all the reasons you do. Mine came flawless.

Like the knife, Paddy also like my full-size Bugout squishy handle scales and all. Good video. Thanks for your review. Well done, sir.
I'm a sucker for thin. Nice, really clean lines, a real beauty. Thanks for sharing.

Paddy I carve antler put on a lanyard or just Amber beads looks great too something I made myself
Beautiful knife. I am just going to have to put it on the list to get. I have a CRK small 31 with magnacut. That blade steel is very impressive.

I use the same style sheaths for a lot of my traditionals and absolutely love it.

Just bought this based on your review.
I hope you like yours as much as I do.atb paddy 👍☘️
I also bought a buck saunter in green micarta
Early days as just arrived but i absolutely love it at the moment.
And it arrived razor sharp out the box. I was worried after watching some negative reviews this morning but it is a beauty
Very comparable to the $36 Boker Plus Atlas backlock. Both are very light and slim in the pocket, and the Boker has a nice pocket clip to boot.
And 12C27 blade steel.
Beautiful knife! Love that milling on the scales!!!

When flat grind blades are that thin, I think they cut much better than hollow grind thick blades do.☘🥔🔪🙂
Bexar - said Becks-are down here in Texas.
Functionally I would love it but I think I would get bored of a knife that is all gray.
