I could totally see this being in Season 2. Jayce is on a manhunt for Jinx for blowing up the council and hurting Mel, but Vi wants to find her first to keep her safe. So they inevitably clash.

There was no glow up, this is an animation test, they put much less time into these scenes compared to the real series, tbh it's incredible how much this looks good for test material.
I’m assuming the studio fortiche sent this over to riot before they started as a “proof of concept”, Also easier to plan the pipeline and schedule when you have a finished shot
wouldn't be mad at all if they went with these eventually, they're like a perfect blend of the in-game designs and the one's already established by the show
What makes Arcane so good as someone who's only Now watched the first season and never played the League of Legends game, is that Arcane is so much different to the game in terms of how they look, feel and the tone they show in comparison. The game can be played by anyone. But the show is more for teens, young adults and above. It's such a different way to show the real darkness of the lore of a game like that. This is simply a show with people behind it who know the lore and respect it, amd want to give fans they might not have asked for, but instead go beyond that. Not to mention Riot giving app the time in the world to get this show to the high quality it reached. It's why the second season took so long to come. It's November now, and season 2 is coming in a few days.
The animation looked beautiful, i just feel like the emphasis on how different their fighting styles isn't quite there like in final product. I personally loved how you can clearly see that vi is a street fighter through and through in the series
Her gauntlet doesn't go all the way to her shoulder. So unless it expands itself forward in the moment of the punch or accelerates on jets, the punch would be barely stronger then a punch by her bare first.
This is why I get tired of people saying every 3D with 2D effects animation came inspired by Spiderverse. As much as Spiderverse is amazing, other studios can be unique and stylish without its influence. This animation was from 3 years before the Spiderverse came out and even so all around I see people looking at Arcane and saying "wow Spiderverse was the best thing that ever happened to animation"
I personally am super hyped for an epic Jayce Vs Viktor fight scene where Viktor sends out all his drones while Jayce tries to attack and dodge Viktor's lightning/laser attacks. I could already picture it in my head how sick that would look
I’d like to take a moment to appreciate how well Jayce took multiple punches to the jaw. Those are weaponized hunks of metal, after all; and from what I can tell, Jayce doesn’t have any visible form of Hextech to block them. So unless he’s going to spit out some teeth after this fight; the man must be superhuman.
this test is crazy good already. theres so many shows out there with the final product being the same level as this test. they truly went over and beyond with arcane's final animation
I'm SO GLAD they redesigned Vi to make her more muscular. This version just doesn't logically make sense when you think about her gauntlets and how she's able to wield them with quite frankly, stick arms.
Everyone is complementing the test just imagine what the second season will be like, that’s what I’m really excited for, to see the improvement for vi, jinx and everyone else!
So basically: Arane team: "Yo we could make a dope animated series about League" Rito: "Nah fam, we gotta focus on the game and the E-Sport scene" Arcane team: "But people will love it! Here watch this video we made" Rito: "Aight fine, do it" Arcane team: "Great! I'll be done in 5 years" Rito: "What?" Arcane team: "What?"
Yeah, the biggest thing that stood out to me was how skinny and petite Vi is in comparison to her Arcane version! It definitely represents her in-game model but muscle-y Vi is just *chef's kiss*
You can see every little bit of prototype in this for what they included and improved on for the show, the camera, the FX animation, the detail of expression, the painterly style, all finessed and perfected for the final product. Love Arcane to pieces ❤️

i'm happy vi ended up getting a more logical design / body type, no boxer would have an hourglass figure and small shoulders, especially with how heavy those gauntlets are

So glad vi ended up with a larger and more muscular build, it’s more reasonable and realistic both to real life, but also all the crazy stunts she pulls. I also really appreciate the shrinking of the name tattoo

Riot's animations never disappoint
riot didnt animated this tho
*Fortiche's animations.
Riot doesn't do their own animations...All the stuff is third party, eg. Fortiche for Arcane. Blur Studios and Axis Studios for their Trailers, etc etc. Prob more that I can't recall
The only video game company that does their cinematics in house is Blizzard iirc.
@@pleasestoptrackingmeasio7657 even blizzard doesnt make then in house anymore, and fortiche is basically riot at this point, fortiche had like 5 employees before the production of arcane now they have them in hundreds
Sadly riot get credit even if they didnt animate
It's cool to see what the first draft animations looked like!
@UnfaithfulEvil 🅥 not the TV series too bad Choosing beggar

the fact that this project was from 2015, imagine all those animation tests and story planning it had to take just for it to be released 6years later. It shows how much quality and time was exerted for this gem series
I could totally see this being in Season 2. Jayce is on a manhunt for Jinx for blowing up the council and hurting Mel, but Vi wants to find her first to keep her safe. So they inevitably clash.
it is an animation test made in 2015, not a trailer for the second season
@@mrpancakes3444 they know they’re just saying how they can see this being in season 2
Ngl if Mel is alive in season 2 I will be severely dissapointed. I feel the stakes would be too low
@@tselis Mel is a pointless character and isn't in the actual game. She dies but Jayce will somehow survive.
@@CrimsonRose18 Arcane isn't canon so saying a character is pointless is completely dumb
I’m obsessed with this type of 3D/2D animation, a animation that hope to integrate into that so called Capcom/DC/Shonen Animated Universe I hope to create.
it's called cel shading animation, i guess
@@ngegamesantai_ This isn’t cel shaded animation
@@ngegamesantai_ I think the term is called Non photorealistic rendering (NPR). The rendering is stylized. I think Cel shading is just one example. Other examples would be the Life is Strange 1 and 2 and Sifu.
I love how familiar it is to the animation in the final show, the artstyle was refined a lot but they got the feeling right from the beginning
so glad they revamped their character designs for the show. vi in this version looks like she'll break with just her carrying those gauntlets.
Right! That’s exactly what i was thinking when she stood up and had those humongous fists hanging from her, and her much smaller frame just seemed so disproportional. Really glad they went with the final design where shes more muscular and solid. Really adds to the character.
When they showed bits of this animation on their documentaries about Arcane, i immediately tried to find this animation onlinee. I'm very glad they released it to the public!
Same
For a moment I thought this was a trailer for the S2. Would have been a bit disappointed compared to S1 but then I read the description. Now I can see the glow up between this test and the release. Great work guys !
Also TH-cam, Overwatch ? Really ?
Overwatch is deader than disco
There was no glow up, this is an animation test, they put much less time into these scenes compared to the real series, tbh it's incredible how much this looks good for test material.
@@PellahTheHero they probably meant the redesigns, vi especially looks considerably better after she was reworked
it literally says in the title that it is a test
I’m assuming the studio fortiche sent this over to riot before they started as a “proof of concept”,
Also easier to plan the pipeline and schedule when you have a finished shot
I’m glad that vi and jayce’s designs changed overtime.
@Hawkknight97 it's not. it's a very early animation test.
wouldn't be mad at all if they went with these eventually, they're like a perfect blend of the in-game designs and the one's already established by the show
@Hawkknight97 description says it's atest animation from 2015
These designs are good, but their design in arcane are the best
This just popped up on my feed again. Time to rewatch Arcane
Its actually impressive how much they increased the quality. Even if it was only a test and obviously lower budget it's still mindblowing.
I wish averyone that changed Vi's design to the final one in Arcane a very happy life. You deserve everything
This makes me appreciate Vi's final design even more!!
It's November now, and season 2 is coming in a few days.
the fact this is a "test" is insane, thequality is sky high!
and its good to Vi still blocks with her face
You have a cool profile picture
The animation looked beautiful, i just feel like the emphasis on how different their fighting styles isn't quite there like in final product. I personally loved how you can clearly see that vi is a street fighter through and through in the series
Everyone : wow the animation looks amazing.
Me : Did Jayce just catch Vi's punch with bare hand!!?
Badass
Jayce built different
Her gauntlet doesn't go all the way to her shoulder. So unless it expands itself forward in the moment of the punch or accelerates on jets, the punch would be barely stronger then a punch by her bare first.
@@Сайтамен thats literaly what it does
@@bitbreaker_creator I don't see any jets and her arms would have been tired really quickly from moving those heavy things.
This is why I get tired of people saying every 3D with 2D effects animation came inspired by Spiderverse. As much as Spiderverse is amazing, other studios can be unique and stylish without its influence. This animation was from 3 years before the Spiderverse came out and even so all around I see people looking at Arcane and saying "wow Spiderverse was the best thing that ever happened to animation"
yeah but they were working on spiderverse for a long time, and there are more similarities in the finished product
The art style and animations are different though, are people really comparing Spider-verse and Arcane?
I love that even though we're not getting a season 2 anytime soon, they're still giving us tidbits so we can be reminded how great this show is.
@UnfaithfulEvil 🅥 you know what for once I think they might be right
I believe we'll get the S2 during 2023 since they said not in 2022 but they need too make it early enough so the hype doesn't die
@@hyutle3581 Hopefully its been in the works since the first series so its not too long
It's happening now November 2024

@UnfaithfulEvil 🅥 ok then do u have better game than them then stupid bot ?
I personally am super hyped for an epic Jayce Vs Viktor fight scene where Viktor sends out all his drones while Jayce tries to attack and dodge Viktor's lightning/laser attacks. I could already picture it in my head how sick that would look
Looking at this makes me realize how much more intimidating Vi looks with more beef, and she looks appropriate for her weapon choice.
It's also funny how he doesn't have any fighting background but beats up vi who was fighting her entire life.
@@iSchleep My boy took judo lessons inbetween classes clearly.

Im getting shivers, this is amazing! Glad you approved and made Arcane in the end.
this test is crazy good already. theres so many shows out there with the final product being the same level as this test. they truly went over and beyond with arcane's final animation
I'm SO GLAD they redesigned Vi to make her more muscular. This version just doesn't logically make sense when you think about her gauntlets and how she's able to wield them with quite frankly, stick arms.
Everyone is complementing the test just imagine what the second season will be like, that’s what I’m really excited for, to see the improvement for vi, jinx and everyone else!
the animation was so clean and on point even all those years ago
Arcane is legit too much. It’s crazy how it’s operating at a cinematic level. Each episode is an Oscar worthy short film. Incredible
So basically:
Arane team: "Yo we could make a dope animated series about League"
Rito: "Nah fam, we gotta focus on the game and the E-Sport scene"
Arcane team: "But people will love it! Here watch this video we made"
Rito: "Aight fine, do it"
Arcane team: "Great! I'll be done in 5 years"
Rito: "What?"
Arcane team: "What?"
Lol pretty accurate
"rito"?
Worth every second. No corners cut. A really A++ piece of art.
This test vs the sevika fight is breathtaking when i can just FEEL the moments from the show where they would have been

im glad that they decided to change art style to what we got now
Arcane is absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to see more works of these creators.
The animation looks great although I’m glad you chose the other designs
@UnfaithfulEvil 🅥 Im sure it is buddy, im sure it is
Yeah, the biggest thing that stood out to me was how skinny and petite Vi is in comparison to her Arcane version! It definitely represents her in-game model but muscle-y Vi is just *chef's kiss*
@@crazygur1y For me, even if it’s a bit on the unrealistic side for a girl, buff Vi does look better visually I feel.
It's crazy. They were like "nah, this ain't good enough. We want them to have seizures from sear delight."
Wow this is such an awesome concept. They should make a show with this kind of animation some day.
God am I so happy they changed Vi's design to be more realistic and honestly more iconic.
Even for an animation test they still managed to make such good choreography! Now i'm more hyped for season 2 than ever
You can see every little bit of prototype in this for what they included and improved on for the show, the camera, the FX animation, the detail of expression, the painterly style, all finessed and perfected for the final product. Love Arcane to pieces ❤️
Someone in Riot show us the animation progress of how they got from this to the final version!!!

Crazy how far the character design have gone compared to this initial proof of concept
i'm so glad they changed their designs, especially vi. her final design looks better and also narratively makes more sense than her original game design.
