- Today on Studio Sunday, I’m sharing my Gel Printing Game! I play this little game with myself when I’m feeling stuck or uninspired, or sometimes just as a little warm up. I’d love to see what happens when you try it.
Jennifer Akkermans is a mixed media visual artist, specializing in Intuitive Printmaking using acrylic paints on a gel plate. Jennifer's work is instantly recognizable through its use of bright, bold color and pattern. She makes her own stencils to use in her gel printing, and loves to use found objects to create texture.

So FUN! What was the gold you used, please? Do you clean your brayer in between? What about cleaning your masks? (Newbie here)
Fun for sure! I roll off my brayer on scrap paper, and wipe it with a wet wipe when the next color I want to use is really different. But really, get yourself a couple of brayers so you don’t have to clean them quite so often. As for masks, I almost never clean them. Rarely, I’ll wipe with a wet wipe, or put them paint side down on a scrap paper, but once they’re dry (even with paint on them) they’re ready to go again.
The gold is liquitex basics - just gold, I think.
