Lowkey it is weird they made most of his akuma specific tools a lot worse in this game. Air fireball, teleport, demon flip.
Raging Demon got hit pretty bad too, you can't kara it, it gets beat by meaties and it actually has startup.
I think his cheap tools were busted in a way that only really fit old-school games, so they wouldn't fit in the stiffer modern FG mold of SF6,
like him doing jump back fireball and having an invul teleport were fine in looser games like SF3 and 4, but in 6 where things are more set in stone and frame data heavy they'd probably be too cheap.
He's like a Sugar Zero Version of Akuma in 6
Akuma lost most of his unique defensive moves - OD demon flip has no invul, neither does teleport, but he still suffers from low health. So he's extra squishy compared to earlier games. His overall damage also isn't all that great unless he's spending all of his resources, yet he has to deal with problems like his opponent being able to crouch his best combo routes. I'm really not seeing a S tier character here. He isn't bad but like Mago says here the only thing that seems he really has over the other shotos is that he's got the most potent air offensive options. Neat, but not crazy.
@@nickkiller-0710 yea totally meant to include raging demon too. He feels gimped somewhat compared to other versions
Same. I feel like akuma is over balanced. I'm used to sf4 akuma, and they removed a lot of the sauce from his moves in 6. I was using him for a few hours and even low level players were easily stuffing his demon flip/air fireball/teleport. And capcom probably want to wait another year before doing anything with him.
@Husteen well, thankfully they already said they were going to patch the game more frequently. Personally i think his air fireballs should count as fireballs as they are considered air moves atm, and he should have better recovery with OD air fireball to stuff DP better. I'm honestly fine demon flip isn't as good, idm that. I don't think forwards teleport needs to have much invul either but it would be nice if back demon had some invul to make it more useful. Also for the love of god buff raging demons range for the super flash. Why is my opponent able to jump out after super flash when they block drive rush jab
For me I'm just so pumped for shoto with a standing command grab
How do you do that overhead chop after drive rush
Forward medium punch
6:17 got to use OD adamant flame there
Eyy it sounds like Mago is using an arcade stick. Maybe he prefers it for Shoto’s?
Yoo is my boi vaping??
He dropped the cigarettes for vape lol
Akuma is not control character he is all in offence he try to set up a combo with his tools to set off his pressure gameplay. He is hard to play because of small margin of error and low health.
Weird title. Especially becasue mago lost the set. If he "completely mastered how to fight with Akuma" wouldnt he atleast win with akuma against another akuma?
Ok here is the thing, knowing how to play certain characters do not make you win all matches
But knowing helps raising your winning stakes
Bruh......
Bro thinks fighting games are dbz
I mean that NL he played lol that wasn't just "another akuma".
That logic makes zero sense. Mastering a character doesn't mean you win every mirror match
