I would love to see Majora's Mask & Ocarina Of Time remakes on Switch since those are my two favorite Zelda games, but I doubt we'll be getting remakes of them since we can already play their vanilla versions on Switch. So, I think we'll be seeing Wind Waker & Twilight Princess due to the fact those are two of the only good Wii U games not on Switch along with Yoshi's Woolly World, & Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess arent originally Wii U games they first came out on the Nintendo Gamecube

I would love to see Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3D get ported to either the Nintendo Switch or the next Nintendo console in full HD. Say what you want about the MM remake for 3DS but I personally don't mind that they made the game easier. I just want to play these games so bad on current-gen hardware in some sort of remastered form (I know they have already been released for NSO) so that people can see what truly made the N64 Zeldas so special. Even though BotW and TotK are good games, I miss the old Zelda formula, not only with how the older games were more linear, but also just the world-building and overall dark vibe I think the open-world games have lost in many ways. Oot and MM are the best examples of this, there are so many mysteries and dark secrets that go unexplained throughout the story, and how everything connects through the timeline is also interesting, which the open-world games don't really mention. In my opinion, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are some of the best games ever, the subtlety of Hyrule and Termina are what makes them so interesting. They're not trying to tell you the dark aspects right to your face, it's just lying there in the background, which almost makes it even more creepy. I really miss that type of Zelda games and it's sad to see that they probably won't be back as the open-world formula is the way to go nowadays.
Something tells me that we're getting A ocarina of time remake to celebrate the 25th anniversary this year and than later we get Zelda TP and WW HD ports on the switch 2
It has to be twilight princess. People forget twilight princess was available for game cube. It should be easy to port to the current switch or next gen console.

Oracle of ages seasons NEEDS to be next. Don’t care about Ocarina or Twilight Princess in HD. There’s easily enough a bajillion ways for people to play these games on any Nintendo console already if they want. Same for Oracle games too, but they have the framework mostly laid out with the links awakening remake already, just like the did originally when they made Oracle games from the Links awakening engine…
I'm hoping for remakes of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages with the same style as Link's Awakening. ❤❤❤
If OoT gets a remake, it would be just like how Pokémon got 2 different remakes of R/B/Y.
We had R/G in 1996 (which became R/B in 1998 in the US), and then those games got remade as FR/LG in 2004, then they got remade again as LGP/LGE in 2018.
Similarly, the original OoT was released in 1998 and the remake, OoT3D was in 2011. So a remake in 2024 would make sense and it had been 13 years between OoT and OoT3D. Ironically, it's the same amount of time has passed since we got the 3DS remake.
I imagine the OoT remake on the Switch or Switch 2 will probably be a re-imagining since LGP/LGE was a re-imagining of Yellow. Maybe the re-imagining of OoT will use the scrapped dungeons (the Ice, Light, and Wind Temples) from the cancelled Ura version of OoT that was sussposed to be on the 64DD, which we got Zelda Gaiden, which later became Majora's Mask, and Ura Zelda became Master Quest on the GameCube.
With all the remakes of OOT already and the availability of it and it's sequel already on Nintendos shop. Plus the fact that they remastered OOT already. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least remastered Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword for the switch 1. Then do a complete overhaul of Oot on switch 2? Or would putting a larger game like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword with graphic buffs, be better for switch 2?
I'm excited no matter what however if they do a 2D remastered I think they are missing an opportunity.
A Link to the Past needs the same treatment as Link's Awakening.
I hope there's plans to bring everything to the Switch. I had all Nintendo made Zelda games and lost them due to being homeless. There's other games I'd also like brought to the Switch since I like the series.
I’m really hoping that the next generation returns to the Wii U gamepad concept. Basically having a premium option for a peripheral with screen for map view. My favorite games are Zelda and Splatoon so I am biased.
Why don’t they just get Nintendo GameCube online service and put the twilight princess and wind Waker GameCube ports on there to be able to play them like that

I too wish Zelda would go back to its roots and do some more linear games. Or at least port them all and upgrade the controls and graphics so we have them on one console.
But in all honesty I’m just holding out for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker on the Switch!

I hope they would find a perfect in between. I personally enjoy botw/totk more then MOST of the traditional games (to me, Zelda is adventure, not looking at the same walls for ages trying to figure out a dungeon), but my top 2 favorite Zelda is lttp.

NO. Every fan made Unreal Engine OoT thing I have ever seen looks absolutely horrible. They are shiny but hollow and soulless. I love OoT, it's still my number one game of all time, but making it in 1080p 60fps would take away it's charm and ruin it. It's polygon look is a good thing, it makes your imagination have to bridge the gap which adds immersion no technology can ever match or replicate.

Im 53 and started my Zelda adventure on Botw and on to Totk and replay them often, my sons bought me Skyward sword , im hooked and would be happy with any new game.

Why does everyone think they’re gonna make new hardware if there’s pretty clear evidence WW and TP are coming to Switch like those quotes you said? I would be upset if they released a new console and ported WW and OoT or TP to it instead of the switch, it’d be a greed thing imho cause the Switch is just… fine. awesome. Games like RE and Bioshock prove the switch can handle (heh) console titles and the dock lets it literally be the most multifaceted console that exists, and being way lower cost than the Steam Deck.
Enough with this Nintendo Switch 2 nonsense.. give me a Gamecube 2 with mario kart: double dash remastered with 99 other players

I have a feeling that Metroid Prime 4 can become the launch title for Switch 2. But they will drop the number "4" because that means bad luck in Japan and maybe in entire eastern asia.
Don't forget that they renamed Super Mario Bros 4 to Super Mario World.
And I agree that the next NEW Zelda game will take 5-7 years to develop. During this gap they need 2-4 filler games.
In 2026 there will be the 40th Anniversary for Zelda. Maybe some surprise then for Switch 2?
I don't believe in a lot of Zelda games like we see Mario games now. Stay realistic.
The only thing we can say for sure now are:
+ it's Feb 2024 now
+ "the Switch successor" will come "soon" but when? 2024? 2025?
+ the upcoming Zelda movie
+ very likely a 40th anniversary in 2026
+ next NEW Zelda game in 2028-2030 (5-7 years after TotK)
So when will we get "gap filler Zelda games"? 2026 feels likely. If we ever gonna see a double pack release it's in 2026. The two Oracle games is the most likely. Imagine if they can bring us the original Oracle trilogy plan as a Switch 2 release with the "Link's Awakening remake graphics"! Otherwise the two games will be amazing! Grezzo will do it great!
Remember, Nintendo is a profit driven company, so why would they give us Double Packs when they can release two standalone games for 60 dollar each? Nintendo is "Disney of video games"!
I wanna see these double packs but I always try to be realistic and think of everything from a business perspective. And of course, Nintendo must listen to the gamers in the end of the day. A healthy releationship is required. But as in most cases it's a "take it or leave it" situation. Nintendo got a pretty good feeling for what we want. Not always perfect! For example: where is Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Switch? We want it!

Breath of the wild is my favorite
Breath of the wild was the first Zelda I played and I was hooked. I bought all the Zelda’s on the Switch. So they can remake all the old Zelda games. I’ll buy them all
Totk might have sold well but it fizzled out really fast compared o botw. I dont see anyone talking about totk anymore and it's not even a year old.
We're getting luigi's mansion 2 on switch. Here's hoping that 3ds versions of ocarina of time and majoras mask make it over as well. A remake would be fine as well
As a fellow Zelda fan since the beginning, I disagree on a few things. BOTW/TOTK did very little right, yes it grew sales numbers and mass appeal but lost a lot of the core fans that made Zelda last this long. Also Skyward Swords motion controls were fantastic, I want MANDATORY motion controls for Zelda as it's just better objectively speaking. The immersion is nice and people are just to darn lazy. Oh noo I have to move my arm instead of the bear minimum brain activity of moving my thumb...come on, put 5% of your brain into action.
I am so looking forward for this Nintendo Direct so we can all finally know hopefully we can finally know officially get the release date for Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD on the switch we've been waiting for so long for these games to come out on the switch. Come on 2024 give us good news for us Legend of Zelda fans. Don't worry I bet we will get more classic games on the switch from the Oracle games, Ocarina of Time, Majorias mask, Link to the past, Phantom Hourglass, Link Between worlds, and Spirit Tracks in the near future. For now lets see Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD on the switch.
Since I’ve only beaten and completed Zelda 1, 2, Link to the Past, OOT, and BOTW, looks like I personally have a lot of Zelda history to discover for the first time. And if Nintendo gets off their butts and re releases Wind Waker and Twilight Princess etc. in HD on the Switch/Switch 2, then all the better for me. Great video 😎👍
Id like to see OoT and Majora's Mask remake along with Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. I grew up on N64 and Gamecube. I love Zelda and Mario games. I just beat Tears of the Kingdom and it was fun but not gonna lie, i dont find it replayable. I beat Twilight, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and OoT A LOT. I still find them replayable after a while
OoT, WW, TP, MM always get talked about, what about Phantom Hourglass? Why couldn’t and a switch cart that has all the GBa games on it so I don’t have to pay for a subscription to access the GbA games. I know I could buy a GBA but I also know a lot of kids that own switches weren’t old enough to be around for GBA and they deserve to play Oracles of ages and seasons, Minish Cap, etc after finishing ToTk while waiting for all those ports at the beginning of my post. It’d be a huge boost for them money wise and be a lot cheaper for people (or evenn if it’s the same price, feel less cluttered and not as hard to access) than buying an old GBA and the carts, or paying for the Nintendo subscription to play GBA titles. And people that have paid for the N64 and GBA subscriptions should get some kind of compensation or refund if and when they release OoT or GBA port cause those emulator subscriptions are PRICEY when most people just want to play one or two games and not pay for an older console and the jacked up price for an older N64 or GBA cart buy the collector/resellers trying to make a buck off people who weren’t around when those games were released and never owned an N64 or a GBA.

A Link Between Wolrds is much more likely than Minish Cap for a remake, with Minish Cap being playable with NSO. That’d kill sales of it with so many recent playthroughs. And because I really want A Lino Between Worlds.

I would love to see the ‘Oracle’ Duology remastered….those are SOLID little games and i feel like they don’t really get the attention they should. I also would not complain if ‘Ocarina of Time’ and ‘Majora’s Mask’ got remastered again. I have so many great memories of playing those two with my friend next door as a child. 😊

All of the gameboy Zelda are available on the switch if you include Nintendo online. The only two Zelda games that you can’t play on the switch are windwaker and twilight princess
The trailer may drop in the direct next week followed with small advertisement during the Super Bowl. They did buy ad time for the Super Bowl after the January switch presentation in Japan.
Im still wishing on a phantom hourglass remake. That game was so good and it could be so much more if it was remade like they did on link to the past

It would be nice to see a majors mask one but make it to where you can finish the three day thing as a quest and continue to be able to play it and do it with out haven to reset time all the time just have regular play after the three day quest

Totk was probably one of the biggest games I have played outside of Skyrim.
Who knows what we might get for Switch 2 for Zelda but I am interested in the Monolith Soft Zelda spinoff game.
Tears of the kingdom was hot dookie so I hope the wait isn’t crazy for the next Zelda
I could go for another Warriors game or a JRPG with a full party.
