Ipswich s problem. They concede too many. They have to score two in extra time every week to win but that’s impossible to keep up Ipswich manager slipped up he shoulda brought in two defenders not two attackers !

What amazes me about Ipswich is that they just won’t go away, and that’s amazing. You are there on merit, that’s for sure, and indeed you looked to have had the easiest run in, at the beginning of 2024 at least. Had it not been for the excellent run of 11 wins and 1 draw conceded only 3 goals. I believe that Ipswich would have definitely been in the frame as favourites for automatic promotion. I even believe that it is possible for both of us could indeed overtake Leicester, though I wouldn’t have even considered that at the end of last year when Leicester had a 17 points lead over Leeds. Then, the problem would be how much investment is required to maintain a decent standard in the Premier League. You can see what happens when promoted teams don’t have enough funds to actually achieve that since all of the previous seasons promoted teams appear to be in the relegation zone with some distance from safety

When we scored we were looking comfortable. Then we seemed to just sit back and gave Cardiff the initiative when we should have pushed for a second as too much time left to sit back for 20 minutes.
