- Restoring a set of 90-91 Honda CRX Si wheels to eventually go on my 1992 Honda Civic EG Hatchback. Ran into some issues painting the "H" logo on the center caps, will hopefully finish that up in the next one.

I was waiting for more of that center cap carnage. Haha.
Oh man! I've had better ideas. I gotta sand em down and start over. The vinyl sticker you suggested is a good idea. I may spray them black then mask the H when I spray the silver. Either way back to the drawing board.
@@MakeItSo I’m going to send one of my spare caps to someone to make a decal set. Might take a few weeks.
Sweet! Keep me posted@@crxseth
@@crxseth I'd be interested for sure too
I actually ended up 3D printing some logo inserts that I painted and glued in place. I'll have a new video up in a few days. @@crxseth
Nothing like the oem wheels.
True that. I bought a 90 CRX in 1998 with these wheels. Circling back to where I started I guess.
I almost want to try to do this with my spare set. I was thinking of powder coating at first.
I'm not sure exactly what the OEM wheels were originally coated with. Whether they were powder coat, single stage, or clearcoat. I think my finish turned out shinier than OEM.
Using a needle or a toothpick to spread the paint near the edges.
Yeah. It's really tricky, I may have been better off with a small paintbrush.
Very tasteful! On paper they look pretty narrow, are you going to use spacers?
Quite possibly. That's part of the reason I was testing wheel spacers on my CRX to see how they look vs perform in a daily driving situation. I may move the spacers from the CRX to the EG when the time comes.
Nice job man. How many cans per wheel?
I think I needed about 3 cans for 4 wheels. But I had 4 cans so I used them.
Guess who is keeping there stock s.i wheels now😂
I'm gonna throw them on the EG Hatch, they're equally as bubbly as the car.
@@MakeItSo I was waiting for the finished product with the caps and tires on😁
I really wanted to get that far! Still more work to do. @@JoseContreras-mv5yz
@@JoseContreras-mv5yz Probably still waiting on tires to get mounted. But yeah, I was hoping the same. LOL
