I'm a young new skater, and I find this video very helpful. I already know how to skate (not perfect at balance), but I would love to teach my friend how to skate.
@@Skatie I'm relearning, as well! I picked up some Sure Grip skates based on your recommendation and they're great! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with the world!
Do you have any tips for a terrified 4 year old? She wants to try, but as soon the skates are on, she'll sit on the floor and get herself so worked up that she's hysterical.
Oh poor bunny. With youngsters it’s best to let them try and have fun on the skates. Could she try on carpet at first so the wheels don’t roll. Perhaps joining in with a friend etc could give her encouragement.
I can't wait to share this hobby with my two little ones! I wonder when is a good time to get started? My older child just turned two, so I probably need to be patient for just a little while longer...
I promised my brother I would teach his kids how to roller-skate, his wife both them kids quad skates with no trucks and fixed wheels from amazon... they can't turn. Well I am done, no one can learn how to skate those. Before you buy skates parents, get some help what a real skate is. Toys are just toys.
Thank you so much for protecting their privacy!!!! I think this is quite important for them. Great video as always :D
Thank you. xx We thought they were a little young to decide yet if they wanted to be seen so agree it’s better this way. 😎😎🥸🥸😂
Get a grip
I love that your respecting your kids privacy/anonymity ❤❤

Skatie lately you've been reading my mind and posting videos of exactly what I want to work on
I love when that happens. Have fun. 🤩🤩😎

Ahha , right.. I've a grandson. I'm 61.🎉🎉
What is the right age to get my child to start skating?
Both my girls had skates on before they turned 2! 😂 I think it very much depends on how stable the child is on their feet generally.
@@Skatie wow that’s amazing! Now I feel confident about getting my 4 year old son a pair of skates!
❤❤❤❤Thank you for the video ❤😊
No problem. My girls had great fun helping make this.
Haha (I’m 9 years old)😅
I broke my wrist once bc of roller skating so I think padding is rlly important
💯. Great advice
Do you like the video
First!
Actully i woudnt recommend the baby quad skates the one where you put yuor shoe and skate, because it has no ankle protection
My girls used them for tiny feet. When they w 18 months old as we couldn’t get skates small enough.
Very nice video!
Thank you very much! My girls had lots of fun.

@@estherseyffarth8217 my girls had skates on at around 2. We used those plastic skates that strap on to their shoes. They loved it.

Oh yes. I see that a lot. Those skates are just toys. As you say, definitely can’t learn edges etc on those.
