Thanks. Do any or all of these pannels work the the PW3 built in inverter? I think you said in anither video that Tesla pannels are Q Cell?
You already answered one if my ither questions on anither vudeo. PW 3 Sucks? You siad PW3 can take different roof sections as separate strings.
At Tesla website when trying to configure/order, why do they say pannels are not compatible with metal roof?
I have metal roof. Not really standing seam. More like metal sheets overlapping with screws between them.

Hi Drew, All solar panels are compatible with the Powerwall 3. However when you buy from Tesla - they only have some specific panels and they are mostly from QCell. A metal sheet overlapping roof construction is tricky but do able. It depends on the distance between your rafters and their size. If they are 16-18 inches apart and they are 2 by 8 or larger you are good. Anything further apart would require an architect to have a look. My installer has done metal roofs like yours. Best Jon

Why do you not want to include the longI 550 W solar panel to this list? Just wondering? Why do you not talk about half Solar panels or bio facial? Do you not like these?

The Longi 550 watt and most bifacial panels are designed for commercial solar installs. Those panels are significantly larger than the panels I have shown in my video. So yes, for home solar bifacials are not a good idea. Bifacials need a reflective surface behind them - and the roofs are usually dark and non reflective. Half cell and quarter cell tech is used in many of the panels I have covered in my video. That is one of the ways of increasing panel efficiency. I did not get into panel tech - just performance in this video. Thanks for watching.

Can't disagree with you more on efficiency as being the "1 number for comparison. We have consistently shown that whether using string inverters or panel mount, the Panasonic/ Sanyo line of panels has outperformed all others for more than 15 years over as many years of installs. Sanyo which later became Panasonic consistently delivers more performance in partly cloudy to cloudy weather typical in cooler high performance months in the US northeast. From sharp to us solar to Canadian solar to sun power we have watched client systems and have been impressed with tge Sanyo Panasonic performance in bot less ideal weather and over the long haul see fewer problems and less degradation over time

Panasonic panels are consistently in the top 3 in terms of efficiency and are absolutely top notch solar panels. My recommendation to my viewers and the folks who have bought solar through me over the years has been to stick with one of the top 5 most efficient panels available in the market. I also have been installing panels over the last 15 years and I have seen very little difference in degradation and panel production in the top line panels from like Panasonic, Sunpower, (LG earlier), Silfab etc. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
