If you do decide to live in Paramus because of the shopping advantage just make sure you have enough money left at the end of the month for mortgage payment.
4) Commute to NYC
Located about 20 miles from midtown Manhattan Paramus is ideal place to live if you need to commute to NYC.
There is no train to the NYC form Paramus, so in order to get to the city, you will have to commute by bust directly to Port the commute the commute time is about 40 min- one hour depends on the time of the day.
You can also commute by car it should take you around 40 Minutes also depends on the time of the day.
Paramus is also located about 22 miles away from the Newark international airport and the commute should be about 30 minutes.
5)Best for Retirees
In general NJ considered to be the worst state to retire in the whole country, however if you still looking to retire in NJ and specially in Bergen County, Paramus considered to be the 2nd best place to retire in Bergen County after Fort Lee.

So many people are coming from all over to shop in Paramus so be aware of that if you are thinking about buying a house in Here.
2) Cost of real estate
Home prices in Paramus can range from 300K- 3M depends on the neighborhood.
The Average home sold price in Paramus is $920,000.
Take this in consideration its not going to be cheap to live in Paramus, on the other hand the real estate taxes are not high so maybe it balances it out.
3)Over night street parking
In Paramus your not allowed to park on the street over night witch can be very inconvenient so if you have a big family make sure to buy a house with a driveway that would be large enough to fit all of your cars.
4)Crime rate
Paramus is ranked only 33th in terms of safest in the whole of Bergen County with only B- Ranking.
