How to find mycorrhizal fungi

In this video I share a micro-adventure from a recent visit to a local ancient woodland. In it I test an approach to sampling Oak tree roots for mycorrhizal fungi colonisation for an upcoming piece of research that I am involved in with others. Although the roots concerned are from trees, I cover quite a lot in the narrative and comments of my observations and think that flower and food growers will benefit from hearing some of this - especially those looking to test their own crop roots for the 'strength' of this mutualistic association.
