For a fanfilm this is an excellent effort. I think a blend of live sets and green screen would have made it seem less cut and paste. But the acting and the story so far are well balanced and written. A few burps here and there. You can tell who was passionate about doing this project vs who was there for the acting credit. (I'm assuming this was a school project)
First, Roddenberry was an atheist.. he once said that he believes religion is the cause for most of the worlds problems. you can read that in any biography, on tv or internet.
So cool there are trek fans dedicated enough to embark on a project like this! Props for pulling it off! Overall I'm pretty impressed with the costumes and make up work. It's too bad the compositing is so terrible. The light spill from the green screen is really obvious, the edges are harsh, no apparent attempt to blend the subjects with the background. I hate to be so critical, I just find it surprising with all the obvious effort that went into this, that one aspect seemed to be sorely lacking
great episode
Good to see warp core ejection systems don't discriminate between different races when it's time to go offline at crucial moment

Um, actually, if you pay attention on Voyager, the Hypos worked through cloths on that too.
somehow it is more star trek than the last movie...
@bunnyhead515 they do if its a dishounorable death such as a warp core explosion outside of combat

love the gay subplots!
A Romulan would say Nominal and the Captain would say Quantum torpedoes right??
More Mia. Less of everyone else
klingons DO NOT ABANDON SHIP!
that Federation Captain is a really bad actor!
