These are the kinds of MeatEater episodes that I love.
Exactly. He need to get some comedians to go hunting with him, for example get joe rogan again or something

Brad Williams....
why can't I subscribe to this channel??I know I was subscribed before, and I don't remember unsubscribing...and now for few days, I know I subscriber few times, and every time that I enter his videos, I see that I'm not subscribed, and now I try, I can only subscribe on personalized, and when I come back, I'm not subscribed!!someone, help please!!
Steven appearing on Rogan was how I got introduced.
I am eternally grateful, MeatEater and it's all the co host are pure gold.
Same I hate meat eater trivia
Absolutely unbelievable how that Elk stood that long after being shot twice while Steve shot like a champ!
Old warrior for sure.
What a tank, he took that lead like it was a pin prick before it actually hit him
Shows how perfect the shot was
I actually thought he got hit a bit low from where I was seeing the bullets hit, and considering how he just stood there instead of running off, I was guessing it was just a wounded elk, but then he just dropped and I saw I was misjudging the point of impact.
Glad I Didn't have to look far for this comment.
This reminds me of the original Netflix seasons. There is such a great amount of education packed into the episode with great visuals and a great hunting story. Loved this episode and excited for more.
I agree. Had the old school vibe. Season 2-5 or 6 are the best in my opinion.
I've never really noticed any change throughout the seasons, except for maybe season 1
no one ever mentions this, but the music score to MeatEater is amazing, I love the music and how if adds to the episodes
The music is what draws me in! I’ve mentions before but season 9 had some of the best scores.
The podcast music ending reminds me of a show a watched when I was a little kid. Snowy river
@@NDD45seasons 7-9 were by far the best. Like art, and Steve was so poetic and raw in those seasons.
@@spencerkloc2893absolutely!
Love the shot placement. Absolutely beautiful.
If you didn't get the picture that that bull was a fighter from looking at his antlers, the fact that he took 2 perfect bullets to the heart and still stood there is crazy!!
Steve should be in every episode. No exceptions.
Isn’t he?
I'm pretty sure he is. The other series and videos he isn't, but meateater itself is Steve's show.
Meateater Is his show. He is in every episode
He runs meat eater so he can’t unfortunately be in every single episode cause he’s running a business. Agreed tho he should be in every one.
@@austinalford9947He’s in every episode of meateater already. Being in every piece of other content they release would be an impossible task because of the sheer quantity, but also, yeah, he can’t be wasting his time on all these hunts he doesn’t have a tag for when he’s got so much other stuff to do.
I appreciate Steve putting in ear pro before taking the shot. That's something I wish I'd started doing decades ago.
What did you say?!
@@cjsawinski HE SAID; HE APPRECIATES STEVE PUTTING IN EAR PROTECTION BEFORE TAKING THE SHOT
I like how it didn't even reach his ears
@@cjsawinskihahaha
@@jaadmaan8156 HUH? Honey, turn up the volume on the game!
Absolutely beautiful to see you end up taking out the old gladiator on his last leg. You could tell he was a warrior by the way he took two to the heart and stood there for a minute contemplating how beautiful and difficult his life was.👍
As someone who has never hunted I absolutely love this show! Steve has a gift for eloquence and the whole thing is just beautiful. Please make 12 more seasons🖤
try their podcast, so good
I enjoy the intro on this one a little more than the old one. Old one is a little dated now and the sound profile is kinda jarring, but this one tells a story. Much love Meat Eater team
Mr Rinella,
Remember the day you were standing in the back of the Toyota truck heading up the hill on Molokai when you got that pig? Do you remember the house you passed after turning up off the paved road? I was on that deck and you waved to me. I had no idea who you were then, until I saw the Hawaii episode on tv months later. At the time I thought you were just a tv personality but after years of watching you on TH-cam (because of that episode) I can truly say I admire and appreciate the way you represent us hunters to the masses. Wish I could have road up to “green grass” with y’all that day and jumped off to hunt axis before you went down into honuli’wai valley. Would have been a pleasure to meet you.
Hunting in way backcountry above the arctic circle I can confirm seeing an animal and knowing it hasn’t probably seen any humans before you is just indescribable feeling. Man I’d love to experience it also with elks.
Man that's the dream. I'd love to hunt up there someday. The populations down here are much higher but obviously so are the people sadly
He’s posting new episodes so fast I love it. No wait time at all between seasons. We had to wait so long between seasons on Netflix. Steve probably has so much footage he can just put out. Doesn’t matter what he’s doing it’s good tv
This hunt was last November
Last season came out last year, they just reposted it to youtube recently
It was the same time. 1 year between season. Been that way for a decade. Lol
And he also said there are only 6 episodes this season.
Every episode for quite some time has been an absolute banger! Meat eater crew killing it and the hunting community just gets to sit back and enjoy the hell out of it. We are all lucky to have pioneers like you guys ❤
Love this! Steve explaining irony was too funny lol
Great Steve has turned into a road hunter 😂
I was thinking the same lmao. Maybe the shots made it look worse than it was. What are the laws for “road hunting” in this area?
There is a difference between spotting an animal from the road, and being a 'road hunter'. The distinction is important.
It’s funny how that happens. You can spend days hiking around the hills and then spot one about 400 yards from camp 😂
Seriously though! Hard to pass up when they're just standing there!
@@D_Boone it’s a joke so relax
What I honestly love about hunting is the time spent with my dad who is getting up there in age and now keeps talking about the time he doesn’t have left, and I have all these wonderful moments of just being out in my home of Laramie Wyoming spending time with my pops joking I wouldn’t give anything for that. Yeah getting something is nice, and adrenaline filling, but it’s the time you spend out in the wilderness as our ancestors did, living off the land, now I’m going to be having a kid I’m glad my father showed how so that I can one day do the same with mine🙏
I have never shot a gun, nor hunted, I love the approach to wilderness that Rinella and his teams have. Keep them coming,. Inspiring as an American.
This season has started out insane! This has the makings to be the best season yet! We are truly blessed
MeatEater is the best hunting show of all time!! My wife will even watch it!! Keep them coming Steve and crew!!!
Incredible seeing that elk just stand for so long after taking two shots to the heart like that
Man I thought he had that wolf nailed!!!! Smh I felt that pain. It’s so hard using someone else rifle at that range too!
First time I’ve seen Steve put on ear pro.
One of the best shows out there. MEATEATER.
Thank you for everything you do for conservation!
Steve's Canadian music referrences always make me chuckle.
Thank y’all for posting these!!
Great episode as always! Amazing how Meateater never gets old.
Another great story and great show. Thanks for sharing both.
The Rocky Mountain Elk bobsled team is going to rock this year 😆 💪
Congratulations Steve, what a beautiful Elk and area to hunt!
I so miss these moments of my own and pray I will someday be able to share them with my son as my father shared them with me. Thirteen years old, it isn't looking good. I started when I was 5 or 6 years old. But I will share them when I can, I promise you that. Thank you for your content, truly appreciated.
Thank you for bringing us along 🙏
so glad to see steve back in these videos
Excellent episode 👊🏼👊🏼 Hell of a job, Steve.
Looks just like Southern Alberta, snow and all. Love the rockies, hard hunting, beautiful surroundings.
Steve is definitely on my bucket list of people to meet
Great timing! One year ago today myself and two of my best friends hit the backcountry for mule deer and elk. We made it to our intended destination to get dumped on with 22” of snow. Packed out an elk the sen cons to last day of the trip. Great times!
Absolutely loved this episode
Life is simple:
I see a new episode of Meateater, and I click as fast as I possibly can.
You can’t beat an elk hunt with Steve and the crew! Great job guys!
Amazing episode.
Editing, Narrative, Tone, everything is on point.
Great way to start the day after a cup of coffee and some good elk hunting and beautiful landscapes
I flipping love to see these episodes on TH-cam. I love reading comments about them.
Just had some fresh straps off a nc buck while watching yall hunt for these tasty morsels. Perfect blend of dinner and a show! Love this life!
Awesome episode! Congrats the whole hunt looked amazing!
Bless that bull for the food he provides. Much respect for that mighty animal.
As a fellow Montanan and avid hunter… I enjoy watching and learning and the entertainment of Meateater! I appreciate the opportunity that was given to you by n that hunt… amazing how that old bull took 2 and was still standing!
Perfect season! Loved all 6 episodes especially the small game one.
there have only been 2 episodes released this season...
Heck of a shot!! Congratulations
Mate I can’t believe how humble you are man, love the content super genuine. Come to New Zealand again!!
Nice shot Steve and a great hunt 👍💯
Sure missing my home state watching stuff like this. Been out of state for school in TN temporarily. Excited to get back into those MT mountains chasing elk!
Love your stuff Steve.
I was looking forward to this episode and it certainly did not disappoint
2 SHOTS to the HEART and STILL STANDING!!! INCREDIBLE CREATURES.
Love that SteveO laid down an Alanis Reference for all his Canadian Fans 😂 Great Hunt Bud!
Another great story and great show. Thanks for sharing both.. Steve should be in every episode. No exceptions..
There’s just no panic in the guy…loves it like we love it. And makes a super shot when it counts. Camera be danged - just a blessed hunter doing what he loves.
Awesome episode and great hunt as always, top job Meateater crew
One of the best episodes ever!
Wow that Elk on the first shot was like “wtf was that”?! 2nd shot, “huh I’m getting tired” LOL that’s a tough SOB
Leaving for Montana in one week for my 1st elk season. I’m so excited
For my crew and I look forward to elk hart for our first steaks on the grill. Great hunt man.
I have been waiting for this episode ever since I listened to the podcast about. Awesome episode and knowing what I heard on the podcast makes it that much better. Congrats awesome Bull! and awesome show!
Awesome episode! That was not the expected ending when you first click that play button, but had to be a rewarding experience.
Respect for your work and education on hunting. I'm a big supporter of knowing where your meat comes from
So refreshing to hear a simple, yet fresh and honest perspective on the battle between the multiple use concept of states and sportsmen and the preservationist mindset of parks and wolf-groups. Thank you for that.
It wasnt honest at all. General otc tags were the rule pre wolves. Steve essentially lied about the reason theres now only 5. Wolves destroyed the N yellowstone herd by 80+ percent
@cag2102 yea the bs liberal climate change fanatic vegans definitely want hunting banned for everyone
Beautiful episode! More like this ⚔️
Loved the episode!
Love the Montana Episodes
Everything meateater is must watch well done crew
Awesome ! Well done boys ❤
This is fun to see. I lived 4 miles down the road at the 320 ranch and shed hunted the buffer alot.
Congratulations Steve, been following you for years now.
I’m from the UK and I had the pleasure to visit Glacier National Park back in 2000.
I have to say in this video which ever microphone you were using changed the the whole effect of the experience you guys shared.
Great Work looking forward to future hunts. 28:56
Good shooting and restrained congratulations showing respect to the life of the Elk, nicely done.
Very opportunity to shoot is a lesson as well! Sometimes thing don’t work out where you get the animist but still you got a free less ion for the next time! Great hunt guys👊
Hell yeah! Congrats
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’m so happy for this episode.
Wish the series had more episodes this year. Great content
What do you mean? It just started?
@@D_Boone they said there's only six episodes this season.
I savor the meateater eps by not hastily watching tidbits during daytime but actually saving it for my before bed time relaxation. I guess that’s my way of becoming one with nature from hours of construction work and decadence.
I love the show but my boys all used to say the opening meat eater intro. They mesmerized it and the last couple seasons they don’t get to do that. It’s silly but they loved that part.
that's one thing I truly enjoy about hunting! When I get something I never look back I'm excited with what I got usually I'm the last of the group and have helped and watched the Youngers get theirs! It's just fulfilling to have gotten and know the freezers will be full till the next!
that looks cold
hi kg
Hi Kendall!
Absolutely insane!!
Great episode!!
Awesome episode, I wish they were longer. Nice elk.
keep up the great work!
Omg great two shots , fantastic hunt thank you
This was a cool hunt. I loved the corresponding podcast episode as well.
Really enjoyed this episode.
Congratulations on drawing the permit. I drew a super limited wyoming tag. I called in more bulls in September than i will the rest of my life. Such a special experience
You could see all the tension in Steve drop when he had the bite of meat
Sweet....Really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Another well deserved achievement…thanks for sharing
Cannot wait to watch this tonight!!!!!!!
Awesome!! Beautiful Hunt!! 👍🏻👍🏻
What a shot Steve!!
Perfect video to watch peacefully at night time....thanks guys, keep it up
I’d have to agree with what he’s saying, winter came early this year in mid-late October and brought a lot of cold temps and heavy snowfall, im up by the bitterroot area enjoying it all. Nice to see y’all got some hunting in with this early weather.
