Chennai, formerly known as Madras is the capital city of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Major attractions of Chennai City 2022
1. Chennai Central Railway Station
2. MGR Memorial
3. Anna Square
4. Marina Beach
5. Lighthouse
6. Santhome Church
7. Kapaleeshwar Temple (Mylapore)

9. Sarana Store The Legend
10. T. Nagar Market (Usman Road, Rangnathan Street)

We are on a five days trip to Tamilnadu. We started our journey from Chennai. We landed in Chennai at 1 pm. From Airport we board the metro train to reach the Chennai Central. Here you can see the magnificent Railway Station building made by British. There are two more British Era wonders nearby. On left is the Rippon Building and on right is the Madras High court.
From Chennai Central we hired a taxi for 6 hours @ Rs 1500. (OLA, Uber are also available in Chennai. But “Fast track” taxi is more popular). Our Driver Shankar was a genius though he doesn’t know Hindi or English (But somehow we managed it).
1. First we reached on Anna Square (Anna memorial & MGR Memorial). Then we explored the Marina beach and took some light food. There were many Fruit salad vendors here and it was very tasty.
Right on the beach is Chennai Lighthouse. Visitors are allowed to climb on this 150 feet tall structure after a fees of Rs 20. Next to lighthouse is some centuries old Santhome church. All these attractions are located on beach road which is the best road of the city. On one side of the road is Marina beach while on the others sire there are many historical and governmental building of the city.
Our second destination was Kapaleeshearar Temple in Mylapore. (2 Kms from the Church)
Third was Valluar Kottam (5 Kms from the Temple).
Our last destination was T. Nagar Market (Usman road & Rangnathan Street). We were impressed by Sarvana Store The Legend. We purchased some Kanchipuram Silk sarees from here.
We took our dinner at Raj Bhawan restaurant.
We reached Egmore Railway station at 7:00 pm. From here we have to board the train (Boat mail Express) for Rameshwaram.

Hotel name - The Hydel Park Or Greens Suite near Chennai Central Station
You can get direct bus for Tirupati from cheenai. Train are also available. More trains are there for Renigunta Jn. ( 10 kms away from Tirupati)
There will be no major problem. You can use Google Translate if face any language problem.

सर जी सिटी में लोकल घूमने के लिए आपने कौन कौन सी बस पकड़ी थी? या कोई और साधन इस्तेमाल किया था? कुल खर्चा कितना आया?
