It’s a total shame that they’ve completely disowned this album. They rarely talk about it, rarely play songs fromit post elevation tour and just completely neglect it. I think it’s one of their best, but it got a negative response from critics and casual fans, so it scared them straight into the safe material that they put out in the following albums. Seeing Joshua Tree played in its entirety for the 30th anniversary was cool, but how cool would a similar tour be for Pop. And since they definitely weren’t gonna do it for the 20th anniversary of Pop, here’s to hoping they come around and do a 30th for Pop
Wow, in the days before everyone in the audience had an HD camera. Makes these videos so rare and special. This song was only played twice and this was the second and last time they played it!
Do You Feel Loved already sounded much better a few shows into the tour. It would've been a classic if they had simply kept it and continued to flesh it out.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH U2 IS THE BEST BAND OF THE WORLD of all times POP POP POP DISCOTHEQUE QUE DISCO tan genial POP 1997 ESTE DISCO LO HISIERON PARA BAILAR muy buena cancion EL BAJO DE ADAMM CLAYTON de lo mejor
Much better than the Vegas version, however this was the last time U2 ever played this song live. IMO, it would've served the song better to speed up the tempo and add in some of synth loops from the album version into the background. I can see why they dropped it if they were going to play it like this.
This song is amazing, so fresh and so cool, i just think that like many of the Pop songs it was not the right mix, for instance the live versions of Please are far better than the shy mellow version inthe album
I'll grant you the 'Pop' album was a step in the right direction but the two albums after bored me rigid and if you ever needed an example of a 'safe' album then look no further than 'All' and the 'Atomic Bomb' album. They lost me completely then but 'No Line' had some great rock out tracks such as the title track, 'Breathe' and 'Magnificent'. I thought that album was a return to the more interesting side of U2 and pulled me back to them after 14 years or so.
was getting better longer they did it, yeah vegas was shitty but give em time!!! this is what u get!!!!! shame they didnt keep to it on popmart like they did with miami!
