We call it Sungku. These Eel when taking a bait, there's no way to unhook it bcoz it just swallow the whole hook. Need to reset a new hook every time.

Caught an American Eel off of a pier in Port Dover on Lake Erie almost 58 years ago when I was twelve. Tremendous fight. Everyone wanted to help me land it. A fishing net doesn't work too well as the eel can slip through the net. It was a rare catch.

As one other comments said this is a very relaxing video to watch.
We catch eels sometimes here in the rivers of Virginia and they can get pretty big I guess the longest one I ever caught was about two and a half 3 ft long but they sure can give you a fight!
