As one other comments said this is a very relaxing video to watch. We catch eels sometimes here in the rivers of Virginia and they can get pretty big I guess the longest one I ever caught was about two and a half 3 ft long but they sure can give you a fight! Thanks again for sharing the underwater video that is so good !

I like watching fishing vedios ,almost every day after work and my youngest daughter joins me everytime. This one is far the best with the footage underwater where it is hard to catch an eel as they wood swim back under rocks and break away..thumbs up.
Caught an American Eel off of a pier in Port Dover on Lake Erie almost 58 years ago when I was twelve. Tremendous fight. Everyone wanted to help me land it. A fishing net doesn't work too well as the eel can slip through the net. It was a rare catch.
To catch eels of that size with a fixed line rod and no reel takes a bit of skill as eels of that size have a colossal amount of power, so well done my friend

In indonesia, this is called IKAN SILI atau IKAN DELER, they live on big river....when catched then fried with garlic and salt on seasoning, its taste so yummy....

I regularly catch Conger eels here in Ireland. They're big powerful f****rs that hide in the gaps in pier foundations.

We call it Sungku. These Eel when taking a bait, there's no way to unhook it bcoz it just swallow the whole hook. Need to reset a new hook every time.
