Highlights for me - wonderful lino design in the first house, the etched glass door in the second house and the original floors in the third. As always thank you for documenting.
Gday Paul loved the blue tiles and that deep bath l think that caravan was a mid 70s Franklin All this redevelopment is keeping you busy thank for today’s three homes cheers
Sunday again 😊 I think developers should have to build in the style of what they destroy so a 30s home they build in 30s style etc might cost them more money but who cares they make enough 😊🇦🇺
Yeah that old flooring is a stunner for sure. Reminds me of my late grandma's place .it had some similar stunning flooring. When they pulled down the house years after she passed I asked the owners if any of the flooring was left. They said oh yeah take what you want were only gonna throw it out anyway. Took about a 5ft by 6ft peice. Came out easily and really well. . I repurposed the flooring by turning into framed art work. I still have it in my home. It's like having my gran with me all the time. I miss her so much.
Interesting explores! Really nice facades on these. My Nan had a writting desk similar to the one outside near the caravan. I also liked the etched glass door in the second unit duplex, and that beautiful blue tile in the bathroom.
Hi Paul, another three classics always love them. The Art Deco features are so beautiful the blue and pink bathroom wow love the deep tub! Always love seeing these through your eyes. :-) :-) ;-)❤️
Finally getting the chance to watch! Like everyone else, I liked the exteriors. Loved the blue tile and pink fixtures in the second one - that bathroom was so well taken care of that it looked brand new! Those terrazzo floors were so fun! And I actually liked the tiny apartment at the end. It was bright and clean and just right for someone’s first apartment - except, of course, that the view from all the windows was of the warehouse next door! 😀 I’d forgotten about that nasty cut on your arm - helps us date the videos! I think you should have a variety of fanciful stories to tell people about how you got it. Barroom brawl! Attacked by a squatter with a box cutter! Wild cat whilst exploring in the country! Cut your arm open because of snake bite! Jealous husband! You could gave so much fun! LOL I’ve been meaning to ask - have you been able to get out to the country lately? I miss the occasional old farmhouse or countryside home you used to do. Have a lovely week, Paul!
1st home... what a sad mangled mess, in side & out. 2nd house psychedelic bathroom. 3rd house love the unique flooring, back door glass on 2nd half gorgeous, also in better condition. As always love what you do❤
Good morning Paul, these three houses had lots of nice original features, but sadly they look like they can't be salvaged,so the developers can build their concrete jungles , great video as always thank you Paul, have a great week 🤗 from a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺
Thankyou for these videos. They've keep my mind of other things at the moment. And they're helping more than I can say to you. . These homes are amazing. Art Deco is my favourite style. You can tell that they were well loved for many many years. And it's a shame they've been deserted. Even in their conditions. Just really amazing. . Thanks.
Woah. That bathroom in the house you finally got inside 3 weeks later. Love those blue tiles!! Then in the toilet room (about 22:30), that electric blue (not sure what else to call it) door frame is awesome. Love that kind of blue.
THANKS my friend for sharing this video with me these homes did not all that bad I am from the U.S.A. and I always enjoy your channel but I have a question why does Australis demolish more homes than us because when I watch your channel that all I see when I watch is it common in your country my friend in your country just asking, thanks for taking your time out to share this wonderful videos I really enjoy them and please reply i would love to know and God Bless and thanks again.
Wow the last one was very narrow. But a massive carport. Shame about the other two they were nice but neighborhood not that good warehousing all around. Thank you for taking us along. Kindest Regards 👍👍🥂
I loved the beautiful floors in the third house. Is it terrazzo? Lovely blue and pink bathroom with a large soaking tub. Take care, I have a scar on my arm from barbed wire. Nasty stuff that is.
All three Art Deco period homes, unique internally. Love the original pink bath and basin with the blue tiles in the second home. The first house has the original characteristic Lime Stone facade with solid pillars. Another interesting explore thanks Paul. 🏡
Bloody hell , looks like you’ve upgraded Nikolai for a tiger going by that scratch on your arm at the start. Would’ve been a hot yard at the caravan repair place with all that concrete n high walls . Top stuff ,,, now to catch up on last week’s post .Cheers
Wow, Paul! Did you get that abrasion 6:37 'exploring'? If so, hopefully you're up to date on your tetanus shots, mate! Thanks so much for your channel!
I have watched all your videos and love all of them. please slow down your head turning or the camera when you are looking. i get a little dizzie. keep on making these videos.
Two great houses. I just love the art deco features and I always kook for them. I was getting quite dizzy during the first one, you seemed to hurrying through and swinging that camera around a bit. lol...
I believe it’s the smoke alarm. If you were to have a fire, the smoke sets off a very loud alarm to alert everyone to get out to safety. Some are wired into the electrical system, but most are just hung and operate in batteries. When the battery runs low on power, the alarm makes that annoying chirping sound to let you know it needs changing. ☀️
Interesting example of pre war homes, the third had been chopped up considerably, to form a revenue property. odd planning permissions about warehouses next to residential, like living opposite a cemetery, nice quiet neighbors, most of the time. cheers
Three different types of houses all interesting in their own ways. I wonder what the rent was for the last small flat? It looked a bit better as it had been done up. Thanks for a great video xxx
Hi Emily, yes I do believe I have :-) I have uploaded one which is this here- th-cam.com/video/8TNskO4uFB8/w-d-xo.html The other one has all graffiti on it right? Cheers for watching.
@@EmilyJayde7107 Haha awesome. Yeah I did not want to show too much of the front in the video as I knew a lot of Adelaide people would recognize it! :-)
Paul I was wondering whether if you spotted something left behind, how easy is it to ask the developers that you would like to take it?? For example that Etched mirror in the second house, I would happily drive to ADL to grab it. Cheers 😊🙏
First house and second house seemed they were from the western suburbs , second house looked like it was getting renovated , the third house looked better
Hi I was wondering if you knew how to go about contact relevant people to perhaps acquire an abandon property. if developers are demolishing anyway maybe some would be ok to relocate?
Wow that first one is reminiscent of homes here in Georgia where companies buy them up to use for their business.....user car lots (selling), lawyers, bail bonds, insurance etc......sad they take nice homes ppl could rent to use this way 😓
Hey Paul hows things when you said you thought some sort of car repair place and then going into the shed i thought the same thing "caravans", the shell of the old van im thinking a early millard or a franklin just looking at those club seats. Glad you got into the second one liked the fireplace and the mat cool. Im amazed that AC is still there glad to see no one has taken it and scraped it for cash, and that back room the study makes me envious as that would be the perfect place i could have ide use it for my music studio ohh well good to dream awsome explore mate see you next sunday happy exploring.
Hey Werner! :-) Yeah that first home was "Tom`s Caravan repairs" for some time apparently. You got some more cool old farm houses I need to catch up on I see, and some Cats! :-) I will upload my Cats one next Sunday. Cheers for watching mate :-)
Paul, Thank you again for showing these homes before they are destroyed.😀. I know I've made a comment before that I love🥰 the different details on the outside and inside of these 30,40, and 50 homes. I love how the stove and range are side by side
As always enjoying seeing the homes & it such shame that many are lost to history in the name of progress.
Highlights for me - wonderful lino design in the first house, the etched glass door in the second house and the original floors in the third. As always thank you for documenting.
Glad you like the nice old features Christine :-)
The bathroom in the second home was mint as
It looks like Tom has been salvaging parts off that old caravan to fix the one's coming in for repair. The old one hasn't got many parts left!

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that 😕
I love the old Vinyl floor covering. It would be great to save and reuse it somewhere else instead of it going to the tip.

Hi Alison, the best way is contact the demo company that is contracted, sometimes they put the fence up for a few weeks prior. :-)
Hello Paul from USA. I'm WAY late on complimenting you on your "new" intro music. What is the name of that song the fellow is singing?
