Yellow cake and chocolate frosting - best combo ever.
My grandma, who lived out of town, made cooked icing that craked when you cut the cake. It was so good, but no one knew how to make it. I'm 66 & you just made my day! Thank you!
My aunt made this icing with a white cake. It was so good
My mother made this old fashioned chocolate boiled icing also. It was the only icing I ever liked.

My mama is from Wrightsville Georgia and she made this cake Frosting. She would start icing the cake before it hardened and poke holes in the Layers so the icing would drip down. She also used the same recipe but used Brown sugar instead of white sugar and made a caramel icing. They are absolutely delicious

I am so happy that I found your channel. I've been searching for the recipe my dad used to make when my sister and I were little. I loved when my father made fudge because not only was it a tasty treat, he would always let my sister and I scrape the pot when he was done. 😊 such wonderful memories 💖

Tammy, you have outdone yourself with this cake. I watch you all the time and I have seen you make beautiful cakes before. But when you were icing that cake it was something to watch. I could actually taste the icing. And 4 layers made it really dramatic. You should be proud. Few people would even attempt icing 4 layers. WOW!
My mother in law use to make the fudge icing and it is delicious! I have the recipe and this makes me want to make it!
Tammy this is my all time favorite frosting on a yellow cake... this was my mamaw's 'traditional birthday cake' and she served it with yummy boiled vanilla custard.
I'm adding canned milk to my grocery list. I've never made cooked icing or fudge but I will be. Yummy 😋
