This is the way my mom always made her homemade fudge. She always added peanut butter at the end of the boil along with the butter, then she would beat the tar out of it until it started losing its glossiness and then pour it onto plates. It was amazing! I still make today the way momma did. You can't stop eating it, it is so addicting. ❤

My mama is from Wrightsville Georgia and she made this cake Frosting. She would start icing the cake before it hardened and poke holes in the Layers so the icing would drip down. She also used the same recipe but used Brown sugar instead of white sugar and made a caramel icing. They are absolutely delicious

I could actually taste the icing. And 4 layers made it really dramatic. You should be proud. Few people would even attempt icing 4 layers. WOW!

She has a big bump. And she is complaining about her head hurting. But today she says her bump went down a lot. But I am worried.
Tammy this is my all time favorite frosting on a yellow cake... this was my mamaw's 'traditional birthday cake' and she served it with yummy boiled vanilla custard.
My Mom always made a double recipe of icing for her German Chocolate cake, I hated nuts, so one day she sat and watched me put a bite of cake and frosting in my mouth and suck all the good stuff off the nuts, soon had a huge pile of nuts on my plate, she informed me that I could not have another piece of cake if I was going to waste the nuts. Then an amazing thing happened….I started to love nuts that very day and that includes Brazil nuts! And I’ve been eating them ever since. I generally toast nuts before I use them in any recipe, and if I’m using walnuts I toast them until they are Carmel when broken apart, they are so so good. ( Chris, this in part a response to you saying someone could eat around the nuts) Tammy, you don’t bake ten layers, you cut each layer to make it into two layers….. it would look beautiful, but still time consuming. There are so many good cooks on YT, one can learn how to do most anything.
