Nice kite, but I hope they made the reInforcement on the corners a bit bigger this time .. on the 2021 model they just shear out .. ( complete corner, I had size 9 and 11, both same problem.; ) , I went back to the Rebel ( SLS mod 2022 ) because the corner setup is way stronger..
@@danielk3893 After max 15 sessions one corner ( just around the reinforcement part) teared completely , it just felt out of the sky … must have been lose already from previous session.. That was size 9 . After inspection my other brand new kite ( size11 ) also had one corner tearing at the same place … i send them back to the dealer .. ,duotone ( dealer NL) said it was my fault … that there never was a lot of force on the corners , that my lines must have been inverted, that I probably had the kite inside out and other BS .. which was never the case … to keep story short , they were only prepared to pay for repair , they didn’t want to take them back .. I can send you detailed pictures if you are interested ..
Which size would you recommend buying for a 3rd kite (already own 2020 Evo 8 and 10) which I am pretty happy about. I also have Neo 12 which I want to replace with Evo SLS 12m or 13m. 87kg intermediate rider. Not planning on foiling anytime soon.
I would say replace it with the 12m Evo SLS as they have Better light wind performance than original Evo and should offer slightly more power… unless you would like the even lighter wind option with the 13m. At 87kg you would be fine with either… hope that helps. Cheers. 🤟
Congrats Duotone! I ride a Rebel 11m 2020 with perfect amount of power on usual wind in my spot. Thinking in change to Evo sls, but to keep the power of the Rebel 11m, should I choose the Evo sls 11m or upgrade to Evo 12m sls? (90 kg rider using whip and twin tip)
Both the evo and the rebel have similar power delivery, however the power they create through the tuning is slightly different. The 11m in both models will have similar power, it’s the timing and the delivery that will be different!
The difference between all regular construction kites and the SLS models is the materials. The design is the same. However the new materials save weight, increase structural stiffness and this increments performance across lots of factors!

in the end it is down to personal preference, however the soft setting will steer the kite faster around the loop with less power! 👍

the material...the evo sls has the new lighter and stiffer material, the evo is last year's kite
