2023 I.O.W WINTER WARMER SPEEDWAY MEETING

A super days racing from Smallbrook Speedway stadium on the Isle of Wight, featuring the top GT140 solo's who put on such a good display of close racing at the Isle of Wight Masters earlier in the year. Again we see the Masters winner Ian Clark doing battle with old rival Wayne Broadhurst, along with many others, including Kevin Gwillam who has some victories over both Broadhurst and Clark. Chris Still makes his long awaited comeback after a serious leg injury. Could he be the fly in the ointment? Cameron Taylor is bound to be in the mix, along with Richie & Shane Knight. Luke Wicks could well spring a surprise win, as could Mark Scopes, but the biggest danger in the GT140 class has to be Chad Wirtzfeld. Some cracking racing through the heats, finishing with the A and B finals.
The Flat trackers also feature in the event, and there were a few thrills & spills from these guys.
There was also plenty of action from a small but competitive Speedway riders event, which saw a terrific clash between Chad Wirtzfeld and Arran Butcher. Although only a "Training" event, you would never have known. With a Flat Track Mini Bike challenge thrown in for good measure, it looked set to be an entertaining afternoon of racing.
