That's y the ppl in Nigeria wont unite bc they kno their not the same ppl. Blk ppl in America and the carribean for instance we are the real Hebrews Israelites of the Bible. We are shemitic and the tribes in Africa are hametic. We fled into the West coast of Africa in 70a.d. from the Romans then we were sold . The so called African tribes sold the Hebrew Israelite of the Bible to the white Americans for wine n guns . Facts

    That's not a good thing, gurl! Being stripped of their culture and language, many Nigerians suffered in slavery-work.

    • @DriftStar
      @DriftStar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They didn’t strip us of our language lol. Since Nigeria isn’t one country we have to speak English with other people like Igbo and Yoruba people speak to each other in English as they don’t understand each other in their own langue

    • @999oj
      @999oj 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Striped of their language? Nigerian still speak their various languages. English is just the easiest way to communicate to other Nigerians who speak a different language from you . You need to do research before making such an idiotic comment.

      Cultural thing? Maybe because she's black then? Christ, no wonder so many black women are single then. If I was a black dude, I would never be with a woman like that! She'd drive me up the wall...

    • @pierregilson1211
      @pierregilson1211 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I mean she is talking about her home. A very sensitive topic that people need to be educated on because it is close to heart. She's an educated woman and a black woman at that, a lot of people can mistake that boldness for attitude especially if hanging out with Africans or African-Americans isn't a part of their culture. Culturally I'm more understanding because I talk to black women and I've talked to ones with attitudes but she is not one.

  • @chibuzornwogu770

    So many of the major issues concerning Nigeria and its people are omitted in this video, this is in no way a true reflection or a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the country. The host, although she has a Nigerian name, seems to be speaking from the point of view of an American citizen and is totally detached from the reality in Nigeria and ignorant of the plight and suffering of Nigerians who actually live in Nigeria. She seems to think the current situation is acceptable and the people who want change are just troublemakers. There are very good reasons why so many south eastern Nigerians don't want to be part of the country any more and why a large majority of Nigerians from all regions are tired of the situation and want drastic changes, even if the country is to stay united. Millions are suffering in poverty and thousand are dying due to rampant corruption, poor healthcare, lack of infrastructure, poor education, lack of electrical power, incompetent thieves as political leaders, tribal and religious violence, ethnic discrimination and marginalisation, among many other problems. Nigeria doesn't need to stay united just so you can show off to your little friends in America about crazy Nigerian weddings and parties and how sexy Nigerian music and movies are. Not a good enough reason sorry.

      big legend56 Yes, ignorant soul. I read your comment and understood what you meant that's why I responded to it. So do you think that just because she's American she can't show pride for her Nigerian roots. Those are her true origins and she is obviously proud of it. She did not say anything Anti-American in the video so I don't know what the heck is so "hilarious" about anything in this video. Also, she's Nigerian-American not "American" and there's nothing you can do about it. Next time try to be more accepting of others cultures and backgrounds!

      Jo Fro i simply highlighted the humour in her effort to bring across her routes, the same way it would be funny to watch an "Irish - American" attempt to high light their origins or any other child of an immigrant, yet with so much pride they both stay in America?? Why? Most Likely economic. Although I believe that "when in Rome do as the Romans do" meaning if her family did leave, they should embrace American culture and ideals, considering the likelihood of her returning for good are slim, in fact id imagine that she would prefer living in America far more than she would in Nigeria considering its ethnic tensions and other social/environmental and economic issues, as would most, I also never stated that she made any anti American sentiment and even if she did i couldn't care less.

    British Nigerian here, content is sound but the delivery in my opinion is a poor choice for an international audience. If the producer's intent is to inform those ignorant of the situation (such as myself), then they need to chose a presenter with a style that leads to empathy . It's a niche subject area for the western world. Her style wont encourage people to look into it further and distracts from the purpose.

But first, they should cease extraction until they can figure out how to minimize environmental damage.

    If Igbo people get to leave then we deltas and Edos should leave as well. When edo and delta was under the Benin kingdom we prospered and were the greatest kingdom in west Africa after the Malian kingdom. Delta is the second largest oil producer in Nigeria and edo has a lot of oil too. Abeg we Edos and deltans should make our own country too

    Anyone that wants to be free has the right and should at least be listened to, have dialogue with the government. One thing you failed to mention is who Nnamdi Kanu is. A simple google search will shed light to the hateful, violent, tribalistic and downright stupid comments he has been spewing over the years.
    The situation in Nigeria is poor and in the South with the constant oil spills and nothing being done about it, anyone living there should be livid and demand justice. Hold your senators, house of reps members and governors accountable, who have stolen and done nothing for decades

    Great video but the host is not helping by being so arrogant. If I click on a video about Nigeria chances are I care and know enough about the country to begin with. And if I didn't, talking down to your potential new audience is a surefire way of turning them off to this important topic. Great info in this video nonetheless!
