@Daniel Burenko His use of Acapellas, loops and CFX are like no DJ I've seen, I'm a club DJ playing to crowds of 1300+ and I can't do/replicate some of the most advanced stuff he does in his videos.

at 7:21 the track waveform isnt even loaded yet but dannic knows 8 bars takes 15 seconds at 128 bpm so he jumps right to the 45 second mark for the buildup thats genius.

i've been listening to Dannic's sets and music since 2011, he is one of the few guys who really deserve the title DJ.
The way he mixes is just so energetic and skilled, nice to host him for a In My Mind!

@@googleaccount253 nah not always, for big events like ultra miami or tomorrowland yes. But his ultra europe 2019 set for example was completely freestyled.
Afrojack is another real DJ. He said an episode with Laidback Luke that he has preplan his sets for the big festivals but for clubs and small gigs he definitely mixes live like Dannic does!

(Afrojack actually said that in big festivals, it's a big responsibility to give the audience what they want, that's why some of the set ar preplan, but outside that, he's as good as any other djs)

That's why i love dannic. Ok he makes some mistakes but he prepares nothing before a festival. He's just mixing with his heart and for me he was number 2 this year

That was really good, i actually picked up a few new things to try there. But man, using CDJ's is like having your hands tied behind you back. Respect for being able to do a set like that on such restrictive equipment. I couldn't go back to those now.

@@dj_paultuk7052 cool. Even for me as a controller DJ seems a pain to use CDJ as a device, for creative mixing. Fast forwarding, and things like that, oh my god :D Denon seems just much more better.
I think he took his cdj nexus to Luke's , because this set is structured and prepped in Rekordbox DJ , that's why he don't mix on Denon
In theory I could do this DJ set on Denon without , most djs should be able to mix on anything really
I think it's very good DJ set ( simple, effective. Solid )
But on a technical difficulty level
It's very simple , your selection is 128 tempo ( pitch adjustments are minimal ) all you have to do is know when ( phrase points , build ups)
FX etc

Nice to see that I'm not the only DJ using green mode (CDJ w. stuttering) to set exact cue points on the fly. Something that's missing on the Denon gear and the reason I'm selling my prime 4 after a couple of hours of use. I looked at every review available and no one mentioned that, not even mr Mojaxx. Let's see how LL teach Dannic to use only vinyl mode to set cue points on the fly :) .

So, I’m just gonna start my own career as a Dj and the club ask me to play hip hop and rnb which i don’t play that genre. The question is should i change my genre or stick to my own?. Thank you :)
instead of using "fast forward" why didn't he just apply some cuepoints? Would make everything more precise and faster. From watching this it doesn't really seem like Dannic uses Rekordbox for anything else beside "transfering" his music. The BMP is off on so many tracks (and the acapellas/dj tools), nothing seems to fit the grid or have the needed care a track could get from Rekordbox before transfering it to your USB/Harddrive.

How did you record? There is no signal going out through the master neither fom the booth. Isn‘t it showing any dbU led‘s when you‘re using the digital output?
There's a REC OUT rca cable in the back of the DJM mixers, probably using that one.

I'm not 100% familiar with the pioneer mixers, but he's playing on channel B with the crossfader for more than half of the set. Are all line faders set to B? or is the crossfader slightly open (even though the xfader slope is set to gradual...)? or something else?

What I liked : the mix was well constructed someone took time out in Rekordbox DJ there prepping , had idea of the flow and direction .
What I didn't like : 100 % no Crossfader , there was points on some transitions where it been perfect for crab style or fader blends .
All in all very well constructed DJ mix here , simple but effective
I wouldn't say anything on difficulty level as it's based on ( 128 tempo)
I say that with the greatest respect here
I could see this DJ prefers (digital mode) instead of ( vinyl mode)
with the platter and mixing , that can be accurate more then vinyl mode !
I could see also this DJ mixes with channels ( no Crossfader )
I'm guessing He opted for his Nexus setup , because this DJ set is prepped in Rekordbox DJ , that's why no Denon prime mixing
In theory you should be able to mix on anything as DJ but I get why , he has all his hot cue points and loops ( selection set)
But really I thought it was good DJ mix , I'm not totally on the EDM festival loop of DJing , but I think this DJ is a DJ , lot better then lot of them technically .
I know it's not the same type of subgenre of House but if you could get Black Coffee for an in my mind that would be amazing!

The crossfader seems dead, i mean, every "deck" he plays the crossfader is always on right side (almost completly), so or isn't at far right side, or is break, am i wrong?
you have the possibility to choose between three types of cross fader curve, he is using the THRU curve so he can mix like that
that "clack" sound makes me look behind me every time >.
