Hi Meg! First I just want to say that I really enjoy your videos. I've told you bf. Also, if you don't mind, would you please subscribe to my sister's ch to help her get more subscribers. It would help. She's great and funny just like you. Her name is: It'ssierraveronica. :) where do you get your oils from Meg? I keep editing my comment. Lol. I think our hair's about the same length Meg. I've been natural for 4 yrs. Is that bad? Look at that curl pattern? Go Meg! I told you Meg, here I go again. You had me smiling and laughing throughout your video! It's good to have a laugh every now and then.
It's funny you say people tend to gravitate more towards naturals that have longer hair. But ya gotta start somewhere! Before hair can become long, it's short. Lol can't please everyone!
Her hair is average length normal texture for most people of African American descent. And that’s ok. you mean natural hair that’s loose curly texture.
I've been in hair care for over 30 years and although TH-cam has been a blessing for many people in that it can give us a lot of valuable information, I personally feel that in a lot of ways it has caused a lot of confusion in the natural hair community. I totally agree with so much you've said today. It's your hair and you can do what works for you. I've personally found that less is more for me. I don't manipulate my hair a lot at all. This has contributed to length retention for me. I've always been around shoulder length with my super thick hair and it's definitely 4C hair that I have. Leaving it alone for longer stretches has allowed me to grow my hair to waist length for the first time ever in my life and I'm over 45. I also noticed that the longer your hair gets, the curl pattern or coil pattern often will change because of the weight of the hair hanging and stretching the curls a bit. That's not uncommon. I also noticed that my hair responds better to cowashing more often than shampooing. This keeps my hair from being dry and I don't have to load my hair up with a ton of product. I'm amazed at the growth. I'm almost ready to cut it off now. jk😜
Rachael25 it varies. I cowash if my hair feels dry and I shampoo if my hair feels like it has buildup. It almost never does have buildup because I don't put anything in my hair but a lightweight leave in conditioner and an Argan oil. I like for my hair to feel soft and moisturized and clean. So I use cowash products yes. But I don't clean with conditioner if that makes sense. A cowash should have cleansing properties and not just be a conditioner. So when I actually condition my hair, I prefer one that balances like a hair milk. By the time I'm reaching for my leave in, my hair is very soft and moisturized. It has a lot of bounce and movement. I prefer that over using a lot of creams and butters to tame frizz and create definition. It's far too heavy for all this hair.
JoAnna Johnson what type of conditioner and leave in do you use? I’m having a hard time finding something light weight yet feels like it’s actually doing something
chismosaa d I really like the Deva Curl Decadence line. As a more affordable option, I really like the Hair Milk line from Carol's Daughter. You don't need a lot with either line. The key is to use it on soaking wet hair.
Angel Devine I tend to wear my hair in a bun or I'll wear two cornrows. Sometimes I'll twist my hair in a few twist but it usually winds up in a bun also even with the twist. I leave my hair like this for weeks at a time. I don't mess with it at all until it's time to wash it. I've noticed that this keeps my hair smelling rather fresh too. I get complimented a lot on how good my hair smells weeks after washing it. Probably because I don't layer products on it. Not really sure.
4a,4b,or 4c is beautiful! Ppl be a trip about hair. All black hair is BEAUTIFUL and yes like you said do what works for you, you're doing awesome dear, keep it up!! ❤️❤️
I understand the point of protective styles. (Currently wearing box braids as a matter of fact.) But imo it's important to figure out how to wear it out without breakage and not have to fully rely on protective styles. Otherwise when you finally decide to enjoy wearing it out, all the length you retained from the protective styles will be lost or you'll stay the same length.
I agree with this. I get protective styling with wigs, braids, etc., but I find that naturals don’t learn how to protective style with their own hair enough. Goddess braids, crown braids, mini twists (that you pin up), etc. I’m a straightened natural, and my goal this summer is to not press my hair, but to do protective styles with my own natural hair. I’ve seen so many people do it and keep a style for at least 7 days. They can get up and go in the morning. I believe if many naturals conquer this, they won’t rely on wigs and braids as much.
Dianne Saint I like protective styles without weave too, but I mean that I think people should take it one step further and figure out how to wear their hair in "loose" styles without breakage. (Twist outs, wash and gos, braidouts, afros etc.) Once a natural can master these things without breakage, being natural becomes a breeze. And I believe it's possible with even the kinkiest textures. All that's needed is *true* moisturization. I don't like the notion that black hair must be protected 90% of the time to retain length. That's so restrictive and sad imo. I once believed it myself too but I've learned a lot since then.
gigglyfitzgirl I've been wearing my hair in a twist out for a year straight using only my fingers plus water cream and oil not always all of them but as needed, and I do this to my hair at night to accomplish moisturized hair for the day. And then I repeat so my hair is never dry because I am always adding moisture and when I see build up it's time to wash so maybe 5 days. Technique is the most important thing that we can all learn because I was breaking a lot of hair in the beginning
naturalhairnskincare It is more on how you do the style the way that I wear my box braids. I crochet my braids in and it rarely breaks my hair. I have definitely retained a whole lot of length this way.
Just wanted to say that those shorter pieces could be hair growing back in. The individual follicles on our heads are not all in the same phase of the growth cycle at the exact same time. It looks like you take very good care of your hair, so I wouldn't worry about those couple of shorter strands here and there. Also, regardless of the comments you may get...what you are doing is clearly working very well for your hair. It looks soft, moisturized, and is growing in at a good rate! 😊
With regard to people gravitating toward long natural hair vids, I just want to say it's been much more valuable to me going through it with you during the transitioning and then short days because hearing about your concerns (which are also my concerns) and what you're learning about styles and products AND seeing that your hair is growing is helpful and inspiring. Long-hair regiments and styles may not work for me yet and also sometimes they breeze over things that might concern someone who is just learning more. Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming as much as you can!
girlygirl 4life me too girl. I haven't used this in a minute but I just bought it recently because I feel like my hair needs some strength. I swear this product is an old reliable 🙌🏾
Laneesha Holden i love this product for my hair. It makes my hair feel soft. It reduces shedding and breakage and makes my hair appear healthy. I really recommend this product. I love it and been using it off and on for over 5 years now. For best results apply it like u would apply a relaxer. Sit under a hooded dryer for 15 minutes with a plastic cap or just keep ur hair covered with a plastic cap and let it sit for 45 minutes to an hour. And rinse.
machibieber96 same for me. My hair started shedding a lot one day and i went straight to the store and brought this product after not using it for a while and it instantly brought my hair back to life.
I've been using it too. I feel like it works a lot better than more expensive stuff that advertise the same thing. It makes my curls really pop. My nape section is pretty thin and a looser curl than the rest of my hair (naturally not due to damage) but there's a middle section thats extremely loose and when I apply it to the section, I apply A LOT, and it get's my hair nice and curly and not frizzy!
I really appreciate your videos about your natural hair journey. I've been a subscriber since you were relaxed. I big chopped a couple of months after you did after transitioning for a year. I feel like I'm on the journey with you because our hair seems to be growing at about the same rate. I'll hit my 2 year mark in March of next year. I'm also excited to see how long my hair grows. It's refreshing to see someone who doesn't have super long hair yet and watch you grow it out from the beginning. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and keeping it real. Please don't stop what you're doing and ignore the negative people. Some of us really need you tubers like you.
It’s nice seeing your hair change because mine has drastically the past 3-4 years. Before I was relaxed I remember my hair being like 4C course and thick and after my big chop and fast forward 2 years the back of my head is at LEAST 4A if not 3C and it goes back to 4B throughout and it blows my mind!
Hi Meg. I'm a hairdresser. You need a deep penetrating moisture treatment. ORS is for chemically treated hair i.e. Relaxers or colours. ORS will harden the hair with the Protein. Hope this helps you. Try KeraStraight Moisture Mask. Brenda
Yes a wash and go is rocking your hair in it’s shrunken state. Whenever I do a twist out I feel like my hair is so long. You can stretch you wash and go’s little without losing definition. Your hair is growing so fast 💨
I’m glad you touched on the subject of protective styles. My wigs are soooooo convenient, but that’s all SOME people see so I guess they assume I never wear my natural hair is not true. I’ll be glad when people just drink water and mind their business.
I'm sorry that you have experienced Scout burn but for those of you who are relaxed what will fix that problem is Neosporin just mix some Neosporin in a bowl with any of your favorite natural oils and apply it to the scalp every other day or every day this will heal the burn I've never experienced that before and yes I do still watch your videos I do also use the ORS protein treatment I've been using that maybe five years and yes you're right it has gotten a little smoother and used to be really thick where a little go a long way but yeah but it still smells the same and it Stills penetrate the same is still conditions the hair it also means shedding which I haven't had shedding in about 3 years praise God but yeah I love your natural hair just as well as I love your relaxed hair it still you thank you God bless you🌹🙏
the short hair is not damage it is your hair re-growing after its cycle and shedding.what do you think happens to the empty follicles after hair has shed.
I’ve been Natural for 14.5 years and I honestly see no reason to go back to a relaxer. At least not for me. I was excited when you went natural and am loving your new journey. And yes, you are the reason I started using ORS back in the day.
Girl do you!!! I have fine hair too. I love my wash & go. What I discovered is...it looks better/fuller on days 3-7. There is a learning curb with a wash & go.
As a black chick who is likec10+ years natural. Chopped it off twice...i dont do much with my hair and its a great length. The less you do the the more it grows. No braida no protetive styles. The most i do is put it in a bun.
This was a great video. Thanks so much for the chat. As I've said in the past, I learned so much from watching you when you were relaxed and I was too. I hate to admit that I've become a very LAZY natural and not taking care of my hair the way I should. I definitely know that I have to step my game up and this video drove that point home to me even more. Thank you again for being who your are and your hair is flourishing amazingly!
Screaming over here at the thought of the anti-relaxer folks who may have to watch this video without sound and think you're relaxing your hair, lol!! I appreciate your patience because I would have just put one big glob of conditioner on and called it a day lol!!
Loved this video! My last relaxer was January 2016, so it's been a blessing being on this journey with you. ... However, I got a tapered "Deva-cut" last June. I still love it -no regrets. But, it's cool to see your growth because it confirms my progress too! ... Keep up the great content & continue to be true to you! =)
Hey Megan! I have been watching you for years!. I was so happy when I found out you were going natural because I was doing the same thing! Now our journeys are somewhat aligned and I can't wait to see us progress together! Also @HealthyAfroHair is on the same journey and time frame. Thanks for the content. You have inspired and helped me feel empowered for almost a decade. Congratulations on your natural journey girl!
I really love your chatting videos. I started watching you after you big chopped what kept me watching is 1) your personality and 2) how moisturized your hair always looks and how gentle you are. I know some people gravitate towards long hair but I gravitate towards soft moisturized looking hair.
Idk what it is about being natural, but I'm so extra careful with styling, shampoo, deep conditioning etc. I really want some braids for the summer, but even that makes me contemplate getting some🤔😮. Loving your hair btw, keep it up😍😘 ORS has a nice oil you should try😉
Yes girl the ORS is a oldie but goodie. I used it when I was relaxed and I still use it now on my natural hair. You are definitely right about it “changing” a little with all the herbs and stuff LOL but I still luv it
Megz I grew up with scalp burns my whole life I don't know how you avoided it I have fine hair just like you which is why I am following your journey and you inspired me to try to grow my relaxed hair but I kept getting scalp burns and breakage so I stopped several years ago but I was never gentle with my hair like you until maybe 2 years ago. I see you didn't pull out a comb or brush those cause the most breakage and disturb curl patterns. I really enjoy it and I am inspired by your video so I need to deep condition tomorrow. I have more shedding from stress and breakage at the roots from rushing in the morning as you mentioned you avoid doing.
Enjoyed your hair chatting video. You don't have to try a million different products. Do what works for your hair. And your doing it. Less is better. Your hair is growing sis. Keep going, which you are. Its not about everyones opinion. People are going to say things anyway. Thats always a given. Your the final answer. Its about YOU and your beautiful growing natural hair. 😎
"Why am i doing this again?! This is for the BIRDS!!!" 😂😂😂 And yea scalp burns were the worst back when I was relaxed! I'm glad I'm done with that lifestyle now! Thanks for sharing!
I'm very particular too when I wash my hair. It takes me longer than it should. Well, since you are washing and deep conditioning weekly, co washing, plus moisturizing every two days... The pieces you guess are from wear and tear are probably right. You can probably get away with deep conditioning weekly and only moisturizing once in-between when you co wash. If you have fine strands it's best to manipulate your hair as less as possible. So my suggestion, and experience, is less not more.
AnnB what would you start off with when you have very thick and short hair?? And lots of breakish going on. My edges are short to and I really need some tips about repairing and growing out my hair??
Laneesha Holden scalp massages with or without oil. It will help stimulate the blood flow and encourage growth. Castor oil is also a good oil for Hair growth as well
ulovemegz ah, and the co washes are your plans...ok. I misunderstood. I apologise. I'm just wondering your reason for wanting to add more manipulation. Do you think the breakage is from lack of moisture, protein, or over manipulation?
Laneesha Holden I would start with a good deep conditioner, once a week is good. I still use Shea moisture manuka honey. One thing I know some of my family struggles with his rough, over, or dry combing. Try to finger detangle more than you use a comb.
Megan you have to try the Mielle Organics Pomegranate Honey line. The smoothie, leave in, and custard are BOMB. Definition and volume! Also the uncle funky’s daughter curly magic is bomb for wash and go styles too! Camille Rose Curl Maker is another holy grail.
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to you. Quite a few nuggets of wisdom. I'm also going to mix in some oils with the ORS because it can be a little drying but It works very well as a strengthener! I love your sense of humour as always. Don't ever change! Love to Ashley.
I tried to go natural but I had four different types coming in and it was making me crazy so I reluctantly relaxed it again but I am going to try again in the fall. I think if I get it braided and keep the braids until next summer I won't be so eager to relax again. I love your hair.
Looking through the comments some are STILL trying to define your hair type😒, even after you said not to put you in a box....girl I could not deal 🤣 I've been watching you for years now....you taught me how to do a blow out on my own hair...looked like I came from a salon💅 anyhoo- keep doing you Megz you're doing great💕
Love your honesty! I used ORS when I was relaxed and truly ORS replenish conditioner was the only thing that helped me when I was natural. It kept me from relaxing again bc I suffered from dry brittle hair my first year of being natural. Nothing was working for me. I became a product junky and spent hundreds of dollars until I went back to that line. Ten years later and I still use ORS replenish conditioner on my natural bra strap length hair (bra strap bc I suffered damage from braids and had to cut my hair). It was waist length...😔
Megz i follow you since the beginning! I love so much the way you treat your hair. Seeing you taking so good care of it while being relaxed and natural I always wondered where was your product line.. I would be here for it girl!❤️💛💚
You can do more with relaxed hair because it’s very porous from the damage but now that you have a natural hair, you don’t want to overdo it or else you might get Hydro fatigue. Especially if you’re low porosity.
Omg!!! New subscriber alert! Your the first TH-camr I've came across with the hair texture/ pattern looks like mine. The way you describe your hair sounds just like mine!!! Thanks for this video and sharing your journey!!!
Love you Megz keep doing your thing. I think I just turn up for your personality, because personally I love you in your natural hair, wigs, no make-up, make-up. Whatever I'm here for it. PS my texture is exactly like yours, you take way better care of your hair than I ever do though.
ORS Hair Mayonnaise works wonders for my type 4 hair whenever I have breakage (small pieces of hair breaking off). I always follow with a deep conditioner to bring back the moisture in my hair! i love it!
Girl, you got me cracking up at you. You up here talking about "Blue Eyes" Frank Sinatra. I was thinking about Usher's song "My Way." BTW - Your hair is coming along really good. You do know what you're doing. Can't wait to see your length by the end of the year.
Not liking your natural hair isn’t a bad thing ! I gave being natural try for two years ...all those cute styles like twist outs and braid outs I just don’t feel comfortable wearing my hair short like that ...kinda felt like a poodle lol. You are like one of the only few relaxes girls left on TH-cam
I moisturized everyday. I spray a leave-in conditioner that I add oils to in my hair everyday. I never let my hair be dry always soft and moist. Don't trim too much you won't see your growth it's only been 3 months since your first blowout. Drink lots of water too. I enjoy watching your hair grow. Sometimes I deep condition and put a curl cap on my head and go to sleep then in the morning I wash it out. Can you try hairfinity products to see how they work for you...
Megz, I noticed what I used during relaxed hair doesnt do too welll on my natural hair. Shea Moisture raw shea moisture retn was good but now only the conditioner is good. I shedded too much during wash. Miss Jessies sweet back deep condition left my hair silky. Design Natural almond and avacado is good. The monoi hair oil is awesome. I think you should test it out. You may love it. My hair was lengthy like yours, I went natural 2 mos after you. So far, I stop using most of the oils. I felt it was drying my hair. I deep condition once wkly or once bi weekly. I like to use leave in conditioners daily or every other day along with water and monoi oil for hydration. You have to switch up the routine.
Yea I can't wait to see where you're length is at in January too. I fell off on my healthy hair care and now I'm suffering real bad with breakage and some shedding. I know I haven't done a protein treatment in a long time. But I'm getting back on track because I love long hair I been obsessed with having it lol.
I think your hair is beautiful❤️ Also, I just want you to know that “Hairfinity” causes hair to thin out. Everyone I know who uses it hair grows then starts to get very thin toward the ends.
Nina La Bella i founded my problem thanks,i've taked hairfinity 2 years ago i only took 2 botles...but after months my hair got thinner till now,i've already dusty it(but when got longer, still thiner)i couldnt figure out whats wrong,is that possible to still be hairfinity???
I love u Megz, u give me sooo much life. I’m realizing our hair is very much alike. With the exception of your sponsored videos we use the same products. ORS Hair Mayonnaise is definitely a staple for me and I use it every week to deep condition. I mix it with a moisturizing conditioner castor 𝙾𝚒𝚕 and Chebe 𝙾𝚒𝚕 ( my hair loves the mixture and the chebe oil is a great addition). I am protective styling for the summer ( box braids), what is your advice for keeping your hair moisturized and retaining length in box braids? Long story short love u megz!!!!!!!!!
Hey Megz! Love your videos. I think you are my hair twin. My hair is fine, medium density and somewhere in that 4b type. What is your hair porosity? I think hair porosity is more important than curl pattern. If you know your porosity that would be helpful to your followers. The products low porosity vs high porosity naturals use is so different. I would love to see a video regarding that subject.
Funny thing is i luv following you because of your shorter hair length lol i had to cut off my waist length hair 2 years ago due to horrible shedding and breakage from a major iron deficiency....my hair was a mess! I also noticed that after giving birth to my son a year prior to that my texture had changed....So I'm growing my hair out again and relearning how to care for it; it's kinda like being a new natural 😁
I'm not gonna lie, I've been natural 1 year and some months . I'm struggling hard. Just finding products that your hair take to is hard. Sometimes I just want to cut it all off but I Don't have the head for it. I'm just uh.....😰😷
Sassy Lee when I first went natural I had a hard time to. you jus have jus try out different products and read the ingredient label be4 you buy jus pay attention to what your hair is telling u.
Sassy Lee I haven't gone natural yet but it's key to not give up stay consistent! It's not going to be easy you might not see good results for a while but trying new products can be bad to do. When you buy a product try it for at least a few weeks if at that point you don't see the results you want then move on to the next product! You will get there I promise. If you used relaxers and perms for a long time it will take some time to rebuild the damage that was caused by the relaxers and perms okay but you got this!!
No don’t cut it off. Try subscribing to curlbox or curlkit for $25/mo. They will send you a different natural line of hair care every month. Great and inexpensive way to try products ....
Sassy Lee That's right. I tried deva curl which works fine but expensive so I went on a product Journey to fine something that don't break the bank and still work like a dream. my hair is very fine and don't take well to color or heat so you jus have to find out what u like and works well.
I've been natural for 1yr and 7 mos. It drives you crazy trying so many products. I'd review more than one on a specific product. Look at the curl patterns it create on all types of hair. If it satisfies you then try it. If you see how well it works on different patterns and type then it's good to test out. That's what I do.
Hi megz, love all your videos my daughter is natural and it seems her hair is staying at a certain length. I am following a lot of videos but do you use a lot of different brands or do you tend to stick with one.
People saying that you don't like your natural hair is the dumbest thing I've heard today, lol. Your hair is growing nicely and looking good. I think that I must have a head of steel cause I scratch the heck out of my scalp and sometimes wash my hair the day before a relaxer and I never get burns, I also don't base. Loved this video and although I started watching you for your relaxed hair I love watching this journey as well. 💜 💜
I notice breakage at the root if my hair gets dried out at the parting of whatever flat twists or braids I have. It's usually if the parting is in larger sections. I never had this problem when I always did small two strand twists. I don't understand it exactly. I'm thinking tension and dryness. Also I'm really proud of my length retention too. It's the first time in my whole life that when I grab a section of hair all the strands (majority) are the same length 😁 and I can actually see my kinky coily curl 4c pattern for the first time 😊 Now if I could get these trims down 🤔
Skip to 11:00 to start the hair chatting!
Nope! I’m watching the WHOLE video. 🤣🤣🤣
Hello
After finish applying the ORS Mayonnaise what did you do next?.
I'm just started using the ORS product and I just found your channel
ulovemegz anyone else having trouble using her iHerb link? 😩
It's funny you say people tend to gravitate more towards naturals that have longer hair. But ya gotta start somewhere! Before hair can become long, it's short. Lol can't please everyone!
buttarikan5 💯💯💯
Right 🤷🏾♀️👏🏾👏🏾
This is a WORD
THIS.

Also, regardless of the comments you may get...what you are doing is clearly working very well for your hair. It looks soft, moisturized, and is growing in at a good rate! 😊
protective styling makes my hair grow mad fast so I love it 😊
Lea Adusei also gives me breakage on nape and edges though 😩
Elaborate sis
Megz, do your OWN thang with your OWN hair! Don’t let these folks press you! LOVE your humble, sweet spirit! Ya hair is gorgeous!😍
Thank yoooou!
You are so cute Megz! 😍 There's only a few people I can watch for over 30 min & you're one of them
People are so annoying wen it comes to hair. Its hair! We just want health and to look cute. Megz do ya thang girl lol

Kendra Hairston I completely & utterly agree!
I was surprised to see this pop up in my notification because im currently using this product in my hair right now.
girlygirl 4life how does it work for you at the moment and how long have you been using these products??
girlygirl 4life me too girl.
It’s good to know your hair type to help other naturals. Not sure why anyone would say you’re 4c. You’re 4b/4a mix. Take care!
4C KEA ohhhhhhhhhhh😯 I'm less mad now 😂
NicNacAttack 😂😂😂 it's ok the truth will set you free😂😂😂
Ok... Never looked at it that way. Makes sense.
I’ve been Natural for 14.5 years and I honestly see no reason to go back to a relaxer. At least not for me. I was excited when you went natural and am loving your new journey. And yes, you are the reason I started using ORS back in the day.
You are so right Meg! It's like, daaang can I enjoy my journey??? 😅 You can split in 2 sections now 😎 soon you'll be back to top knots & buns 💁🏽
Hair is looking good! It’s Growing at a nice rate & you’re retaining length nicely. I like your Pattern💓
Maximum hydration is what causes the hair to kinda change. TFS
aisoa there are TH-cam videos on it
Screaming over here at the thought of the anti-relaxer folks who may have to watch this video without sound and think you're relaxing your hair, lol!! I appreciate your patience because I would have just put one big glob of conditioner on and called it a day lol!!
Yaass the hair mayo is the truth. Still use it til this day. Even used it back in my relaxed hair days
I’m 3 months natura[. So I’m in this journey with you. I like my natural hair but other people don’t like it. So thank you !
I never seen someone hate grow so fast 😍💓😭
I really love your chatting videos. I started watching you after you big chopped what kept me watching is 1) your personality and 2) how moisturized your hair always looks and how gentle you are. I know some people gravitate towards long hair but I gravitate towards soft moisturized looking hair.
Idk what it is about being natural, but I'm so extra careful with styling, shampoo, deep conditioning etc. I really want some braids for the summer, but even that makes me contemplate getting some🤔😮. Loving your hair btw, keep it up😍😘 ORS has a nice oil you should try😉
For typo
Jovette Shuler right now is braiding season every year ladies get braids for the summer I'm seriously thinking about doing the same thing too!
Yes girl the ORS is a oldie but goodie. I used it when I was relaxed and I still use it now on my natural hair. You are definitely right about it “changing” a little with all the herbs and stuff LOL but I still luv it
Tywan Brown do need to co wash after using this conditioner? I tend to put coconut oil in my deep conditioner.
"ima just put a lil 4 5 6 7 8 ooohh !" 😂😂😂 idky that was so funny to me
I'm using ORS mayo tomorrow on my wash day lol it works so good on my hair
Michelle's Daughter gives a nice slip too!
You know I went under my cabinet to see if I had some.. I don't but I still washed my hair anyway
Same! I used it today
When I wash my hair It takes hours for real girll it takes a lot of patience but its all worth it at the end great video megz 💜💜👏!
AnnB thank you! I actually only deep condition and wash once a week currently.
Do you think the short pieces of hair could be the shed hair growing back in?
Eurydice McDaniel my stylist said that is what it could be or breakage. It depends on how you taking care or your hair .
Eurydice McDaniel that's a really good question!
That's what I was thinking.
Eurydice McDaniel yeah. It could be shedded hair. I had a lot of postpartum shedding in the front and so those are the shorter areas in the front
Your hair has grown so much 😍 I love it!
Lmao @ your Frank's impersonation
Megan you have to try the Mielle Organics Pomegranate Honey line. The smoothie, leave in, and custard are BOMB. Definition and volume! Also the uncle funky’s daughter curly magic is bomb for wash and go styles too! Camille Rose Curl Maker is another holy grail.
When your hair is weighed down with product the curls will seem looser.. Your hair type is ...your hair! ❤
I prefer watching people that are thriving with their natural hair but aren’t already like 5 years in the game
Looking through the comments some are STILL trying to define your hair type😒, even after you said not to put you in a box....girl I could not deal 🤣 I've been watching you for years now....you taught me how to do a blow out on my own hair...looked like I came from a salon💅 anyhoo- keep doing you Megz you're doing great💕
KeKe Washington .....that hair type mess give me a headache...
Same reason I went natural these burns are no joke! I think my hair had a mind of its own and would itch about the time to get relaxed!
I first tought you had 4c hair to, but it looks like 4b more now! maybe some 4a. But your hair is super healthy and beautiful!
My hair is a mixture of type 4’s, so I stopped telling people 4c. I’m glad you’re retaining length.
When you did the Frank Sinatra Myyyyyyy Wayyyyyyyy I felt that lollll💪🏽😂
Megz i follow you since the beginning! I love so much the way you treat your hair. Seeing you taking so good care of it while being relaxed and natural I always wondered where was your product line.. I would be here for it girl!❤️💛💚
Vénissa thank you!!!! It’s coming! 😉
You can do more with relaxed hair because it’s very porous from the damage but now that you have a natural hair, you don’t want to overdo it or else you might get Hydro fatigue. Especially if you’re low porosity.
been waiting for new videos on your natural hair. love your hair
I can smell this video 🤔
Cedricasway what does it smell like? 😂 I wanna knowwww
ulovemegz lol. I don’t know how it smells with the oils but i def remember the hair mayonnaise smelling cologney 😂😂
Cedricasway
Hey Namesake 😍 Heeeeeeey 😍😘
Omg!!! New subscriber alert! Your the first TH-camr I've came across with the hair texture/ pattern looks like mine. The way you describe your hair sounds just like mine!!! Thanks for this video and sharing your journey!!!
Megz your hair has grown sooooo fast!!!! Looking good girly!!!
I always follow with a deep conditioner to bring back the moisture in my hair! i love it!
Your growth is soooo real.
Used my ORS last week.Been true to it since my transitioning days and also now that am completly natural
Love that clap " let's go ahead and get into it". Megz I love yeewww
Girl, you got me cracking up at you. You up here talking about "Blue Eyes" Frank Sinatra. I was thinking about Usher's song "My Way." BTW - Your hair is coming along really good. You do know what you're doing. Can't wait to see your length by the end of the year.
Why would anyone disliked this video,it very informative, thank you my favourite TH-camr!!!❤️❤️
I love your personality! Loved this video! Natural hair is on fleekkkk! My natural hair also experienced some breakage at the roots! 🤦🏾♀️
I love this conditioner! this is my staple deep conditioner.
I’m deep conditioning as I watch this lol
I wanted to just watch you but now I'm sitting here deep conditioning too! Lol
It's because the hair previously used before the vitamins was thinking and the new growth is coming in thicker.
Your hair has really grown 🧡🧡🧡
Can you do an updated, how you look after your hair under a wig. Do you baid or twist underneath, how long do you wear them for ect
LOVE that shea nut oil! Its super moisturizing!
I currently have my hair natural for the week I’m so miserable 😩 idk what else to do .
Christian Mosi why?
Christian Mosi twist out, braid out, bun, Bantu not out, it's a lot ui can do with your hair.
Christian Mosi
Just put it in a ponytail if you really don’t want to deal with it
YASSS Megz your hair have grown a lot... very healthy...tfs doll😘
Yaaas my favorite youtuber always come thru♡
Shout out to all us OGs!!!!
Lol @ the part when she was pouring the rosemary oil.
Thank you for sharing. I love how gentle your with your hair.
I love your chat videos!
I luv protective styling... Great chat video!
I thought it use to be thicker too.....glad u noticed it too....works gr8 with the oils...also try alphagee 2 min reconstructer. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Wow, your hair is really growing
I notice breakage at the root if my hair gets dried out at the parting of whatever flat twists or braids I have. It's usually if the parting is in larger sections. I never had this problem when I always did small two strand twists. I don't understand it exactly. I'm thinking tension and dryness.
Also I'm really proud of my length retention too. It's the first time in my whole life that when I grab a section of hair all the strands (majority) are the same length 😁 and I can actually see my kinky coily curl 4c pattern for the first time 😊
Now if I could get these trims down 🤔
