    Y’all did an amazing job all the way around. When Andy does a photobomb.... he kicks it up a solid notch or 50!

    I've been using the mission 535 that I use a 25000 mha battery with for about a year now. Yes I have to stick to 9v. I've found many great pedal builders are using step up power inside their designs anyway so you can have lots of great 9v options. The best part is its super clean quiet power when using batteries. I can play single coils with minimal hum. It's great!

    Play a single coil guitar at high gain, logic tells me the noise comes more from AC voltage than from RF noise. Batteries are DC voltage hence flat so no alternating interference.

    Hello Guillaume , I would like to see an episode about Powerbanks! Powering
    Devices and issues with digital noise and issues with self shutoff of
    powerbanks(little power consumption)! Actually, I'm searching for a
    solution to power at the same time(together) a Behringer Flow 8: 5Volt
    DC 2000mA MiniUSB and the Digitech Trio+: 9Volt DC 800mA coaxial
    connector (middle minus). And I wonder how e.g. Joyo ZGP Noise Blocker, or Joyo JP-06W ZGPW Power Converter, or e.g.
    myVolts Ripcord 9V DC center negative would work. Could you make this
    working? I have mounted them on my mic stand, and I would like to use
    this outdoor(for busking, 3 to 4 hours)! I hope this will be an
    interesting topic, thanks in advance! And for me, it doesn't matter if
    it is on this Thomann channel or on your private!

    What cable did you use to connect the power supply to the stomp?

    • @jjmagpoc
      @jjmagpoc 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I believe the 529i comes with a "Y" cable to utilize two ports to power something like the HX Stomp. From the "Y" cable, you need a 2.1mm to 2.5mm cable because HX stomp uses 2.5mm instead of the normal 2.1mm. So if you look closely at the 529i he's got two 500ma ports running.

    How were you able to get the 529i to power the stomp? It won't power it for me

    • @AutisticCuriosity
      @AutisticCuriosity ปีที่แล้ว

      HX Stomp is 1200mA 529i only supplies upto 500mA which means that he’d need to connect 3 outlets to the same pedal …he’s connected 2 by Y connector which may cause the unit to glitch as digitals equipment is very sensitive to power supply.

    Useless video, a lot of bla bla about the sound and virtually nothing on the power supply, which was the main reason of the video.

  • @drharmonica

    You made a serious mistake in powering your pedalboard. Any 12 volt 3.2 to 7.2 AH lead-acid gel battery would power all your effects for a week without needing a recharge. All 9-volt effects will work perfectly well on 12 volts. The battery is reasonably small and light and does the job better than any power pack. Another thing you need to consider is that if you're playing outside in a busking situation or a stage outdoors in bright sunlight one can never see the led lights or screens in bright daylight. You would not be able to tell what is on or off or read what program has been set on the screen. Your rig is strictly for a one-off gig. For a professional busker, it sucks.

      @BrunodeSouzaLino 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't assume that most effect manufacturers put voltage regulators on the input, so the pedal will only receive 9v. Even so, there's the chance that the regulator can overheat and turn the pedal off as means of protection. Digital effects are very vulnerable to this. The vast majority of analog distortion effects, especially fuzz pedals, will have different sounds when run at 5, 9, 12 or 18 volts.

    • @drharmonica
      @drharmonica 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrunodeSouzaLino I've been using a 12 volt battery to power my effects board for over 20 years. I never had a problem with the voltage. On a very few disastrous occasions, I mistakenly reversed the polarity by accident and fried a few digital effects but that had nothing to do with it being 12 volts. One of the advantages of battery power is that the pedals run silent and don't pick up any hum, buzz or interference from stray electrical sources that may be nearby.

    • @drharmonica
      @drharmonica 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Eilish Hassett No, at 12 volts it's not too powerful. 22Ah will run your rig for weeks without needing a recharge. I see that the tracer uses a USB output. Somehow, If possible, you will have to convert the other end of the output cable to the pins that the stompboxes use and get a multi-pin octopus with several pins for use with multiple pedals coming from a single power supply. Make sure all the pedals are the same polarity if they're on the same connector. Most stomp boxes are negative ground but not all effect devices are. Some are positive ground. Using the wrong polarity can fry digital devices. Analog devices are more forgiving. I speak from experience. Shit happens.
