    To all my Fijian brothers, as a Fijian we have to protect our Usos and our tokos, our Kiribati, Solomon's or whoever in the pacific live in fiji. Its our duty to protect all our cousins through the pacific live in fiji. God bless everyone.

    Good to see you Lei and Susan..Still remember you from our USP days. Met two ladies at Suva market late 1980s who had a booth selling Fijian handicraft and they said to me if I would like to meet and talk to their elderly father at their booth. I went and the elderly Samoan man who had a traditional tatau was emotional when he saw me and I told him that I am a Samoa student from Samoa studying at USP. He said he came from Samoa in the late 50s, married to a Fijian, raised a family and never been back to Samoa.

    I served my mission in Fiji in the early 90s and I met some of this Samoan community who are members of the LDS church there in Lami. There were also some other Samoan families around the Samabula area who had been there for generations. I love and miss Fiji. The ika vakalolo with pele leaf and dalo. Indian curry and Indian sweets at the market LOL. Isa Viti!!

    Aww Wailekutu is such a beautiful place with heaps of beautiful people from Kiribas, Tuvalu, Rotuma, Samoa. So respectful and have a great sense of humor. Made lasting friendships with famillies within Veisari settlement, I have so much respect and love for them, we South Pacific Islanders are so blessed to have this connection with each other. Never realized there was a Samoan Settlement until now through this video. Thank you for this video and sharing it as well.Vinaka Valevu💖

    Awesome video guys. I used to live in Suva in 2010 and used to hang out in Wailekutu with some of the Samoans there. I wonder if Mrs Whippy/Nippy (sorry I've forgotten her name) is still there? She shocked the hell out of me when she started speaking Samoan to me haha she was close to her 90s I believe. And she told me how she left Savaii when she was 19 or so for Fiji.

    O ! If only our Fijian leaders in the past think of their end of life’s and our end of life’s today : Fijians would have had a very different life’s altogether . Our blood brothers and sisters from Samoa from Tonga from the Solomons from Papua New Guinea from Vanuatu from Tokelau from Niue from Rabi from Papua New Guinea from Kiribati and other pacific Islands would make Fiji a real religious Island Nation . Unfortunately Satan has broken the chain of togetherness and love for one another as blood brothers and sisters . All we have to do now as Native Fijians is to love one another think of one another give to one another care for one another and have a warm of feelings to each other . Let’s just show love to one another as Fijian People . God has brought in the very people who don’t believe in him and now they are the head of Fijians and not the tail . You all have to stand up together with our blood brothers and sisters to fight them so that we as Fijians and Tongans Samoans Papua and New Guineas Solomons Vanuatu Tokelau Rabi Kiribati and other Pacific Islanders in Fiji right now to take back what we have lost . Pray as you never prayed before and fast as you never fast before . Jesus is the only way truth and the life . Repent all your sin and follow Jesus Christ . Please ! People forget about the things of this sinful world , and think only of the things that God has prepared for those who keep his commandments and the faith and testimony of Jesus Christ . Think my blood brothers and sisters . All our blood brothers and sisters from all over the Pacific Islands should be given a proper land so that they can live in it peacefully happily and joyfully for the rest of their life’s and our life’s . People people Remember ! The Land belongs to God . The whole world belongs to God ,you and I belongs to God . We are nothing . Totally nothing . Repent now before it’ll be too too late .

    Unless there’s something you’re people is not saying
    Fiji the old Fiji people when chief use to ruled The Fiji islands many of the part of Fiji is not to clear
    Many of the history of Fiji in the first century is not known
    my advice to these people just follow the animals like their forefathers have done
    Because many of the animals are found in Fiji is not from Fiji
    Remember Fiji is group of islands

  • @kulima7391
    @kulima7391 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Before chiefs of the past in Fiji ruled these islands the land was empty for centuries before anyone set foot on these island
    That’s how it happened in my culture too the Samoan Culture
    There were other people who came first before the Fiji people NOT Samoan people
    They were island people too
    Fiji and Samoan people came about the same time because of the inter marriage they had with each other
    I’m talking about all of the Pacific Islanders not just the ones I just mention
    Many of the history of my people THE POLYNESIAN people is hearsay

  • @kulima7391
    @kulima7391 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is very easy thing to say it but leaders in ths community are very sad it’s been years nothing has changed
    Nice thing to hope for things BUT TO GET THINGS DONE
    YOU SUPPOSED TO ACT ON IT
    In my opinion these Samoan in this community is stupid
    Your in a different country, respect the law of the land especially the tribals inter action but at the same YOU MUST CONSISTENT PRACTICE YOUR OWN CULTURE TOO
    So far from what I’ve been seen from this community they’re not practicing their culture

    • @shreyakumar1391
      @shreyakumar1391  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they’re not. Because while the land was leased by Samoan leaders and established as a Samoan community, most of these families have married into other ethnicities. You could say it’s a place of convergence of ethnicities. But whatever ties they have with Samoa, and whatever they are able to retain, they do, and oh my, don’t they cherish it.
