- Join us in the fourth and final video in our North Coast 500 mini series, as we make our way South along the North-West coast of Scotland.
In this video, we start off in Ardmair, just outside Ullapool as we make our way toward Gairloch. Along this stretch of the journey we stopped at the Corrieshalloch Gorge, where we spent time with our friends Michelle and Colin before making our way towards Inverewe Gardens which is a beautiful National Trust site and not something we originally planned to stop at!
From there, we make a quick detour to Firemore beach at a friend's recommendation before setting up in Gairloch for the night to break up the drive to Applecross. On day 8, we take the coastal route to Applecross taking in a lot of very windy single lane roads as preparation for tackling Bealach na Bà the following day.
On our final day of this epic road trip we take on Bealach na Bà going downwards (apparently this is cheating, as going uphill is harder, so we'll have to go back!). From there, we stop at Eilean Donan castle near the Isle of Skye to mark the end of our trip before we continue on our way home to Glasgow.
