  • Ingredients for healthy Palak Dal
    1/2 kg spinach/palak
    1/2 cup moong dal lentils
    For gravy
    3 tablespoon oil
    2 medium size onions
    2 tomatoes in puree form
    Green chillies and ginger garlic paste
    Dry masala - Jeera(cumin seeds) 1 tea spoon
    Dhaniya powder (corriender powder) 1 tea spoon
    Haldi (turmeric powder)1 tea spoon
    Salt as per your taste
    Garam masala 1 tea spoon
    Method:-
    Wash palak or spinach leaves thoroughly, chop finely and keep aside.
    Wash half cup moongdal or lentils and place in the stove for cooking
    Now place a pan
    Add 3 tablespoon of oil
    Add Jeera (cumin seeds)
    Then add the ginger garlic paste
    Saute for few secs. Then add chopped onions, saute for a minute until onions are done.now add the tomatoe puree. Cook the gravy until the oil gets seperated from the pan. Now add turmeric powder, corriender powder and salt.
    Then add the cooked moongdal. Now finally add the chopped spinach or palak . Add little water and adjust the consistency. Now add the garam masala.
    Now mix the dal and palak together and let it boil for 5-7 mins.
    Now our healthy and yummy, delicious palak Dal is ready to be served.
    This can be enjoyed with roti, paratha, or rice.
