- The BMW M140i with big power in the wet, what can go wrong?

So loads of power mods, some lowering springs and thats it otherwise ? if there was ever a car that needs handling mods before you add more power its the M140i.
Car is not as bad as its spoken. If you do straight line acceleration and under 1g of latteral, no issues with a car.
LCAs, suspension and diff just change it to be a proper beast.

This car is much better than the RS3. I've owned both.
It sounds like the XHP isn’t fast enough unless you weren’t putting enough power down etc…. I say this as I’ve just flashed my car and it’s very quick. Anyway, Good vid though.

Thrse cars are brilliant for what they are and bang for buck. Shame all the youths got on the band wagon, drove like idiots, crashed them and now premiums are through the roof. 😢 Glad i got rid of mine when i did. Ticked it off the list!

I think they will now sink into chav territory like Impreza's did, and 90% of them will be ruined.
Then in another 15 years, only a tiny amount of standard ones will be left, and they will be worth a fortune.
I spent thousands on mine, engine tuning, gearbox tune, major serviced every 7k, ZF8 serviced at 40k, diff oil, brake upgrade to m performance, pilot supersports on always, and it was a missile in a straight line, but it always felt like if I pushed it, the thing was on the ragged edge.
It needed an LSD, and the M3 arms, decent dampers and matched springs, more camber, underbody chassis bracing, stiffer bushes and engine mounts, thicker anti roll bars, and more .. and you know what, it still wouldn't be an M car.
I was coming back from a hoon 6 weeks ago, in traction off mode, and hit a patch of diesel on a dual carriageway, slid sideways and held it, but then when the tyres got back to grippy tarmac, it spat back round in a split second I couldn't do a thing. Left the road backwards and it was a write off.
I was unhurt but the C pillar and roof edge crumpled up.
I got a decent insurance payout and put it towards an OG M2, best thing I ever did. It's not as fast being a standard car, but everything else is levels above, steering, suspension, handling, ride damping, cornering, sound, looks, I wish I had just bought an M car in the first place instead of trying to make an M140i into one, which was never going to happen.
This is my dream car, but where i live they are so expensive. They're close to 1million in my currency

Like spoken below, we have recently made our own channel instead of hijacking Awesome's. This video is over 2 years old, we since have added a Remus Exhaust and a Diff, plenty more content to come!
