They are known for their performance of the song Metalingus which Edge uses as his entrance music. And their song Blackbird is a total masterpiece. One of the best vocal performances and solos.

I'm happy you instantly understood the structure of this song, and that's what I call is typical Killswitch engage, killswitch has soft and lovely parts and then it switches between very uplifting banger moments and that is like their uniqueness, I can also tell you the uniqueness of System of a Down, they take influences from Middle Eastern music They mix middle eastern influences with metal, they are all Armenian so that makes sense and it fits, you can really hear that in Serj's singing too. Anyways back to Killswitch they are amazing you gotta check out either the song ''Arms of Sorrow'' (Music Video) or ''My Curse'' (don't do the music video to my curse because its a censored version) those are very typical killswitch engage songs that have this lovely and heavy structure. The Singer in Killswitch for this time was Howard Jones, his screaming voice is legendary but his normal singing voice is very rich and Iconic one of the best voices ever, he is African American and that really adds to his soulful singing Voice. All of Killswitch Engage's music is incredibly crafted with perfect blend of heaviness and melodic choruses. You are in for a real treat getting into KSE. My advice, start with the album Alive Or Just Breathing and then move on to the rest of their discography to see the evolution. Alive Or Just Breathing album is a fantastic gym album and definitely their heaviest.
@@RyanCogar I’m not a huge fan of that song. I much prefer ‘Heartbeat Failing’. Their older material are my favourite, though, like their self-titled and Incomparable.

Check out Dead by April. They’re melodic metalcore that mix metal and pop together. Listen to their song ‘More Than Yesterday’.
Also "Bulletroof" is a good shout for a fairly recent Dead by April banger, not many reactions on YT and it is very underrated IMO.
