- In this tutorial, you will learn how to perform hydrological analysis using ArcGIS Pro, which consist of delineating watersheds, sub-catchments, river networks and calculating the corresponding geometrical properties like areas and lengths.
The only input dataset we are using for this task is a digital elevation model (DEM), which you could freely download from USGS EarthExplorer.

What Amazing Video 📸 Watching 👀 Sooo Nice Sharing 👍 Excellent Job 👏Thanks For Sharing
Thank you very much Sir your tutorials are always my first choice.
You are welcome!
Hi! I am new in this field. I need TIN data from DEM data for my physical-based model as an input. At which stage should I convert my basin to TIN, or should it be the first step before starting this? If someone can direct me, I would be so happy.
Thank you for saving my friend and I many painful hours on a University assignment ❤❤❤🦆
You are welcome
Fantastic teaching! Thank you MUCH!
A few follow-up questions for all who might know:
1. How to figure out direction flow of rivers - to produce a map with arrow flow directions?
2. How to decide where to place pour points?
3. For mapping Ireland, for example, ITM is recommended by my prof. However, my DEM is WGS 1984. Is it best to change the raster projection in the beginning? Or after delineation?
Best from the Best.
Having research aspect can you dive deep into insights in your upcoming tutorials.
To gain patterns relations and predictions
Thanks
As superb as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
Brother I request that can u teach us softwares like Watergems and Sewergems, If its possible that would help water resource engineers like us. Love you 3000 brother for your all previous videos and this one tooo.
Mountain Kingdom, nice video
Thanks
nice video!! I am now learning more about GIS in ArcGIS Pro, see if there are any possibilities for you to make some videos talking about network analysis haha
I will, thanks for the suggestion :)
Nice video. Today, I finished your playlist, making me an ArcGIS Pro expert. Is there a playlist for the climate model that I can start?
Thank you for the great tutorial. Could you please share the DEM?
Impressive
Thanks
Wonderful sir. Please tell me what esri package will work for this work flow
Hi, my geoprocessing tools were unlicensed. What can I do to make up to this? Thank you!
Hello Can you please share the DEM File?
Thank you so much for the video. Hi everyone! I am new to this. I need TIN data from DEM data for my physical-based model as an input. At which stage should I convert my basin to TIN, or should it be the first step before starting this? If someone can direct me, I would be so happy.
A regular DEM (which is in a format like geotiff) can be converted into a TIN without having to do any of the stapes related to hydrological analysis. In the panel which is used to search for various tools, you can search for the tool "Raster to TIN", and provide your regular DEM as the input. That should output the TIN model.
@@geodeltalabs and after that should I countinue to do these steps?
If you want to just create a TIN for the purposes you mentioned, then that's it. This tutorial is about deriving water catchments and river networks, and a TIN raster is not necessary for that.
Hi sir Can you please tell me what is the purpose of creating flow direction raster?
to decide on the location of rivers' outlet.
Where should we download the DEM file
Can you please share the file with us ?
