I came up to Lucca to visit a few new apartments that are just coming on the market with my friend Valerio my local agent.. THIS apartment is outstanding in that it is completely and recently remodeled and the selling price includes everything you see in the video. It’s very difficult to find completely remodeled turnkey properties inside the historic center.
With the US dollar and other world currencies getting stronger against the euro again, it’s a very busy time here and properties sell quickly. You’re basically buying at a 20% discount against what you would have been paid 2 to 3 years ago, just for the conversion savings.

Nicely refinished apartment and in my opinion for a younger single individual that doesn't need more space. Considering I know how much is involved with renovations in Italy, buying a restored property is certainly much more desirable particularly if you do not have experience in country working with the trades people. I know that it can be very demanding and you must be around to make sure things get done.
Being in such a desirable location, I have certainly observed that the cost of these properties are much higher than being in a more remote or less vibrant community. One needs to weigh what you actually want and where you are in your life.
Lastly, I appreciate the effort that you put in to these vids for I know it takes time and planning. I look forward to seeing what's in store in the future. Thank you! ✌

I always like visiting. Now I have my favorite coffee place and favorite cocktail place etc. Yum!
The apt is awesome, just a bit high for me. I'm looking for €220,000 & below & preferably 2 bdrm because I have guests. Most that I'm looking at are in smaller towns & further south in Tuscany & in Umbria.
That’d be easy to find in smaller towns. Even here in Montepulciano which is a busy town you can sometimes grab a deal. The difference here is you can rent it on the short term Airbnb market and make a good return on your investment when you’re not using it. I’ll be doing a video shortly on the place that they’re asking €230,000 for. Two bedroom one and a half bath. But once it was fixed up some you could probably rent it easily for €160 a night. Stay tuned and use the different websites to search for your dream property.

When looking from Canada the price would be very helpful for a wonderful place as this. It’s not going to change even if you whisper it. It stops the running around just for a price.
Hi Canada- I went ahead and put it in description, is €330,000. The reason why we didn’t wanna put it is because these videos stay forever, and you don’t know what the future is going to bring. My guess is this apartment get snapped up very fast being that as well located, and completely furnished and newly remodeled and fully stocked. But you whisper, got me. How would you say the house prices have been in Lucca over the past couple of years? Would you expect properties in side the walls to appreciate?
I think so. First you are going to get appreciation when the euro returns to its natural level of about $1.20-1.25/€1.
And there is nothing like the prices I saw offered even in Nov 2021, like a 3 story 3 unit building that was €390K…. Ugh. Shoulda grabbed it!😢

It was in the video. If I remember correctly, it was around 300,000. This sold at least a year ago. Apartments and Lucca go very fast.
They don't like dishwashers.
Lot of time it’s space. We are normally dish rack, clean as you go people ourselves. But after a party it’s nice to have!

You can if you go outside the city walls. Anywhere…. Most places are super reasonable. I’ll be doing more videos about those places! -Btad

Italians have modern at home. They really have written the book on high design. Probably more than any other country I can think of. Not all people expats are looking to live in a centuries old place. I’ve seen some really nice ones. And I try to show something for everyone! 💚🤍❤️
