- www.democracyno... - Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, a watershed moment in the civil rights movement. On Sept. 15, 1963, a dynamite blast planted by the Ku Klux Klan killed four young girls in the church -- Denise McNair, age 11, and Carole Robertson, Cynthia Wesley and Addie Mae Collins, all 14 years old. Twenty other people were injured. No one was arrested for the bombings for 14 years. We hear an address by world-renowned author, activist and scholar Angela Davis, professor emerita at University of California, Santa Cruz. She spoke last night in Oakland, California, at an event organized by the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project at Northeastern University School of Law.

Isn't it funny how the agencies can find anybody and everybody, but took years to find the bombers, that lived among us and enjoyed life until he was almost dead and then prosecuted near death!!
It has to do with selective outrage and hypocrisy. Try to pay attention.
US had been ethno-, razzo-, homo-phobic from beginning. ethnohobia is gone or much lessened, but homophobia & razzophobia r still running wld.
razzophobia may last for centuries longer. ruling class has no interest in combatting it!
Edgar Hoover was gay. Black struggle should not be mixed with a sexual l struggle.
the more u hav, the stronger military u must hav abroad & at home in order not only to keep ur wealth but to expand it even tho the world is getting daily poorer.
but it cost money. not to worry! it'l come as alway before in all countries/regions from working ppl.
so, for our masters, it is like having ur cake or and eat it!!!
I saw that. I wonder if it was on purpose
It was, two men drove around it and blew it up.
I just had tears roll down when i heard this.
Sickens me that videos like this don't have thousands of comments and millions of views!! Show that not much have changed!!! Home grown terrorism is alive and well!!
all life necessities in US r for sale: police protection, hope, self esteem, healthcare, education, political power, arms..
the more money u hav, the more/better of these life necessities u can buy/obtain.
in areas of much unemployment, lack of education, low wages, etc., u get little or no police protection, & other life necessities.

I think she may've had some jet lag when I saw her several years before this after getting back from Australia. She's very, very dynamic and UP for this anniversary. It's a great speech, she got her tempo down well.
