this is the type of content I didn't know I needed until I saw it, you get a real review of a car since you essentially live with it for longer than a week, and we get to see you having fun and getting to know a bit about your family and ideas, I found the fact that the evil twin has a Nissan Leaf very interesting.
Loved this video Tom. Great to see mom and dad (and the new furry baby of course) and the wife. Awesome!...and of course, love the Panamera as well. :)
What a great extended review Tom! And thanks so much to you and your lovely wife for sharing your experiences with us. If you ever find yourself in the Houston area, let us know. I’d love to meet up and chat!
This is a great video, thanks Tom & all who participated. If I had the money I would buy a Panamera. I stopped by the local Porche dealer and drooled at the cars. I will have to keep driving my 2017 Subaru Outback that I do love. Thanks Tom & crew
This was a wonderful video, Tom. Thank you for allowing us fans a peek at your vacation and beautiful family, all the while delivering the usual excellent, honest, and real-world review.
I like the automatic Panamera air vents. When you turn the car off, the vents closes, front and rear, for a clean look. When you turn the car on, vents open, like some spaceship in a movie. It also memorizes the vent direction. Super cool.
This is my absolute favorite of all your reviews. Well done!!! Come back to Atlanta to review something from Mercedes like the AMG GT. BTW, Groupe PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) is also based here.
Driven Car Reviews I agree, this was a great format and would re-watch. In fact I am rewatching, we’re thinking to trade in a 944t and our Prius to go with a CPO e-hybrid here, ie lightly used. Would love an update on how you see performance hybrid and electric options.
I generally love your review and this longer one was the best yet! I really appreciate your insight into the cars...and life. Thanks for not only going to but sharing your experiences at the various american history museums and monuments you went to, it’s extremely important especially in this day and age. And thanks to your wife for being so flexible.
I really enjoyed this video, as I have enjoyed your previous wagon videos and your video of the forthcoming Cross Turismo -- but this one in particular because I own a 2018 version of this same E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, and I enjoyed seeing it from the perspective of somebody driving it for a week without owning it (most reviewers have it only for a day or so, and it makes a big difference to be able to charge an E-Hybrid numerous times, because that's one of the big deals about this car). And, like you, I've long been also a happy Volvo wagons owner spanning decades. I say that Volvo and now Porsche make the world's best wagons! Regarding my E-Hybrid ST, I took it on a 7600-mile cross-country trip last year, and I never tired or got bored of driving for even a few seconds in 2.5 weeks of driving this amazing car; I didn't plug in once on that trip and still got 29 mpg for the entire trip. At home, where I plug in every night and drive the vast majority of miles in all-electric mode, I go 1000-1200 miles typically on a single tank of gas, only having to fill up once every 5 weeks or so with this as my daily driver. Amazing technology. And I also think that PHEVs are really going to take off in a big way, surpassing BEV sales until BEV sales surpass ICE-only vehicles in about 20 years; as you suggest, most people aren't ready for all-electric cars yet, and PHEVs are the perfect transition vehicle until charging infrastructure and improved battery packs and lower prices for BEVs come into being in the coming couple of decades.
Great video. I also clean my rental cars when on vacation if I have them longer than a few days. I don’t like driving around in dirty cars even if they’re plain old rental cars.😂
I've followed your channel throughout medschool (even when I should be studying). Your videos are always a refreshing study break Tom! Keep up the excellent reviews!
Love meeting your family in the video. Question, who did the moving car footage? Did your wife operate the camera while you were driving, or vice versa?
An absolutely awesome review! One of your best!! If it matters I also bring micro fiber towels w/me on vacation too. I really loved this video, you did a great job, rock on brother....
It was kind of sad to see, but completely understandable that your Evil Twin was persona non grata at your folks place. Probably Ruby was better for it though. 😉
Pecan waffles and hash browns! Thanks for the tour of HotLanta--only ever been through the airport [too many times...when flying Delta anywhere around the midwest or east coast].
I took one of these out the other day after diving a 2016 GTS. It was a great car however it was twice the price of the 16. It drove great. I would recommend one if you can afford it.
Second on the Oak Table and a shout out to "First Street Haven" in Port Angeles. Best breakfast in Washington, imo. Now back to our regular programming. :)
Great video as always. I was a bit confused when you were talking about Auburn and showing Alabama. They take football VERY seriously in the South. It’s almost a religion.
I love your videos!!!! Such a great video of the Panamera 4 gran tourismo e-hybrid and I thoroughly enjoyed following your trip! Ps...I too bring along microfiber towels for car detailing on trips 😂 thanks again for the amazing videos you make!
You married up for sure! Avengers End Game was slightly disappointing, but it wasn’t the Porsche building’s fault. I’m sure glad that the Mardi Gras lady kept her top down...😂
Tom, It is nice to see there is a #HybridWagon available to upper income earners. How about a $27K and #50mpg Corolla Touring Sports Hybrid for the rest of us?
Great vehicle but what would we expect from Porsche right!? But really what a nice vehicle, looked like the a great vehicle to travel in. The restaurants were fantastic, the stop along the historical sites were illuminating and necessary! (Shout out to all social allies of the downtrodden). Q: Did the statue with the cup move? I could have sworn it did. And lastly Happy Bday Dad! Thanks for taking me along Tom.
Please continue do like this for some videos..It was very enjoyable to watch
I love your reviews, they keep getting better and better. Love the personal family touches
Great review and video Tom and family!
You are the car reviewer we don’t deserve. Great car review AND some civil rights history too?!
I have to say, I thought there would be some blowback on that. But no. I like this crowd.
this is the type of content I didn't know I needed until I saw it, you get a real review of a car since you essentially live with it for longer than a week, and we get to see you having fun and getting to know a bit about your family and ideas, I found the fact that the evil twin has a Nissan Leaf very interesting.
Amazing Video Tom!! Love watching your reviews and enjoy tremendously!!!
Loved this video Tom. Great to see mom and dad (and the new furry baby of course) and the wife. Awesome!...and of course, love the Panamera as well. :)

Amazing video 😍
Mobile Bay is such an underrated region of our country. Lots of history, beautiful beaches, and paradise for shellfish eaters.
Brilliant film Tom, you really are a good person as well as a car guy
Enjoy all of your videos, but this one is a real standout...well done, and thanks!
WAFFLE HOUSE!!!!!! you really had the southern experience 😂😂😂
My sister lived in Atlanta, but she's not a Waffle House fan. She calls Waffle Houses "Awful Houses."
@@76carmel Well, those who value hygiene and consider risking a late night shootout to be a negative experience might feel that way.
Really thoroughly enjoyed this video Tom!
Great review! Love the Panamera!
Fantastic review !!! 🤗👍
Great trip and great vid!
This was a wonderful video, Tom. Thank you for allowing us fans a peek at your vacation and beautiful family, all the while delivering the usual excellent, honest, and real-world review.

That was an enjoyable experience as always! Now I'm yearning for a Panamera and some hot wings...
This is my absolute favorite of all your reviews. Well done!!! Come back to Atlanta to review something from Mercedes like the AMG GT. BTW, Groupe PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) is also based here.
Great mix of car review and tourism! You forgot to visit the Coke Museum in Hotlanta. Now you gotta go back.
I went to the center near Olympic Park but didn't go in. Went to the aquarium instead.
I want a Tom Voelk travel show.
I always thought that would be fun to do. This was just kind of thrown together.
Driven Car Reviews I agree, this was a great format and would re-watch. In fact I am rewatching, we’re thinking to trade in a 944t and our Prius to go with a CPO e-hybrid here, ie lightly used. Would love an update on how you see performance hybrid and electric options.
Fantastic video Tom, as always!
Great video, I love the work you do. Keep up the awesome job!! 👍🏻
Travel, food, history, culture, family...and a stunning automobile to experience it all! That's livin'!
I generally love your review and this longer one was the best yet! I really appreciate your insight into the cars...and life. that was excellent. thanks for this one. and i love the panamera. le sigh. too expensive but...a guy can dream.
Great video! thanks you and everyone who made the video possible!
Great review, keep it up! :D
Growing up in Alabama, it's so nice to see one of my favorite auto journalists exploring around the South
Tom, thank you for being you and making great videos.
One of the MOST entertaining videos I’ll watch all week! (Car related or not)
I really enjoyed this video, as I have enjoyed your previous wagon videos and your video of the forthcoming Cross Turismo -- but this one in particular because I own a 2018 version of this same E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, and I enjoyed seeing it from the perspective of somebody driving it for a week without owning it (most reviewers have it only for a day or so, and it makes a big difference to be able to charge an E-Hybrid numerous times, because that's one of the big deals about this car). Your awesome Tom. Thanks for the video.
An epic review!
I wish you would do a part 2 or extended version of this wonderful video. Thanks!
Another great review, vacation and all. Thanks Tom!
Great review! I loved Atlanta when we visited.
Great job Tom. This is very entertaining review. Hope to see more of this.
Excellent video Tom, time with the family, awesome Porsche and some Atlanta history as well. Enjoyed it.
Great video. I also clean my rental cars when on vacation if I have them longer than a few days. I don’t like driving around in dirty cars even if they’re plain old rental cars.😂
I personally love and enjoy this type of reviews.
Thank you and your family for participating in this amazing video.
Keep up the good work!
Just when I think these reviews can't get any better, you raise the bar again! Nicely done Sir.
That was a lot of fun! Thank you Tom and patient spouse!
Great video, Tom. It was so nice of you to share your family with us.
Wonderful review, Tom.
Oooh a VLOG!!!!!
GREAT review TV
Awesome video!
I've followed your channel throughout medschool (even when I should be studying). Your videos are always a refreshing study break Tom! Keep up the excellent reviews!
I'm honored. FWIW, when I do freelance work I love shooting medical stories, especially surgery.
Another great one Tom!
Family, Food and Porsche.
What a life!
This is an awesome format as other people have said, really different and very fun to watch!
Love meeting your family in the video. Question, who did the moving car footage? Did your wife operate the camera while you were driving, or vice versa?
She drove the Porsche, dad drove the pickup.
Thanks for visiting our city! Atlanta is awesome
Really, has a great time.
That was lovely. Thank you.
Maybe your best video yet. Very fun travel log!
Enjoyed that Tom thanks! What gimbal were you using towards the end ? What camera was on it.?
It was a DJI Osmo with my new iPhone XS
Driven Car Reviews Great choice. I own the first version of that. Looking forward to the next video. See ya there.
GREAT VIDEO!!!! Love your Dad!
The parents are awesome. I lucked out with them... and the spouse.
After purchasing my Acura Mdx Sport Hybrid, Im sold on Sport Hybrids!. Saves gas, dual clutch transmisson, and 0-60 is great
Fantastic review and great video!
Looks like a great family vacation. The stylish 2nd generation PanAmera looks great.... pricey as hell, but great.
Great Video :)
An absolutely awesome review! One of your best!! If it matters I also bring micro fiber towels w/me on vacation too. I really loved this video, you did a great job, rock on brother....
Please thank your family for us. You’re the best.
i enjoyed the entire video and wished it wouldn't end.
It was kind of sad to see, but completely understandable that your Evil Twin was persona non grata at your folks place. Probably Ruby was better for it though. 😉
Great Job Tom..! Another one smashed right out the Park... Keep Up the Good Work (just so you know I did Subscribe too). 👍
Great review. Love this car
God bless Mom for having twins! She told us which one is her favorite but our lips are sealed ! 🤐
Really great review!
Pecan waffles and hash browns! Thanks for the tour of HotLanta--only ever been through the airport [too many times...when flying Delta anywhere around the midwest or east coast].
Beautiful keep up the great work
Definitely the best looking Panamera . . . I like wagons as well.
I took one of these out the other day after diving a 2016 GTS. It was a great car however it was twice the price of the 16. It drove great. I would recommend one if you can afford it.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 ...but want to hear more about your dad’s car. Please review it.
I already did the Pacifica E Hybrid. Part of the reason he bought it
Tom, I recommend The Oak Table as a breakfast and brunch place in Sequim and Silverdale, WA.
Second on the Oak Table and a shout out to "First Street Haven" in Port Angeles. Best breakfast in Washington, imo. Now back to our regular programming. :)
I've been there. And I'll go back.
Driven Car Reviews First Street Haven or Oak Table?
Great video! That was fun.
loved the video !!!
Great video as always. I was a bit confused when you were talking about Auburn and showing Alabama. They take football VERY seriously in the South. It’s almost a religion.
I think that was Tom's intentional zinger. And football is not "almost a religion" in Alabama. It ranks considerably higher than that.
It was a dig. The sign in the restroom said, "flush twice it's a long way to Auburn".
That was fun, thanks! Boy, you really got me in the mood for a road trip, time to open the maps.
I love your videos!!!! Such a great video of the Panamera 4 gran tourismo e-hybrid and I thoroughly enjoyed following your trip! Ps...I too bring along microfiber towels for car detailing on trips 😂 thanks again for the amazing videos you make!
awesome car awesome videos. You do amazing work and good jokes as always
Atlanta in the building 😃😃
Very cool review and vacation :)
You married up for sure!
Avengers End Game was slightly disappointing, but it wasn’t the Porsche building’s fault.
I’m sure glad that the Mardi Gras lady kept her top down...😂
golfbuddy1969 LMAO!!! Hands down, you won the Internet!!!
Yes, I did marry up. She's a catch. She doesn't like to be in these videos though.
Well done! Very positive! Thank you!
Good job men 😘😘😘😘😘😘
I really liked your vacation video, it makes me want to take a GT and explore the Atlannuuh lol
I almost forgot that this was a Panamera review video. You should definitely do more videos of cars and other great American cities
Hey dear what's about the new 2019 or2020 cadillac ct6 review and bmw 7 series.....😕😕
Tom, It is nice to see there is a #HybridWagon available to upper income earners. How about a $27K and #50mpg Corolla Touring Sports Hybrid for the rest of us?
Wagons for poor people sounds like a good idea.
Did not move. Shakey camera.
The price of that gas is great!!!! It’s over 4 bucks here in Cali
Hey Driven Car Review (aka Tom) How is the suspension ride with the extra 600 some pounds? are there a ton of body roll and chassis flexing?
It's all very well managed. You'd never know unless you drove them hard back to back.
Oh no Tom!! Bring on the TP!! 😂
Can confirm that Atlanta’s traffic is terrible lol, I moved from Houston and I thought traffic there was bad, I was wrong
Well, this was lovely.
Great car and review. Personally I’d pick the Cayenne e-hybrid over this.
